  4. Lady TaTa I used to drive to Can Wharf every morning but as I start work really early there wasn't any traffic and could do it in 20 mins. Coming back..different matter! From ED I would go Peckham/Old Kent Rd/Rotherhithe Tunnel. Nunhead route should be much quicker via Pomeroy Street but that road has been having road works for some time now. Have moved to CW now so no idea what road works are like at the moment. In case you don't already know do NOT use Blackwall Tunnel..Rotherhithe so much quicker. Also, not sure where in CW you work but parking at Billingsgate is so much cheaper than West India Quay.

  15. About 4 months ago, I saw a woman walking alone by the side of Peckham Rye park about 2am. A car was crawling alongside of her and it was obvious she was bothered by it and that the male driver was trying to persuade her to get in. I overtook the car and pulled up in front of him. I got out to ask her if she was OK and she said that she wasn?t. I told her to get in and that I would drop her home. As I?m female she obliged. The woman had been on a night out and was walking to her home in ED when the guy was pestering her to let him give her a lift. She was very thankful and I was just glad she made it home safely. What disturbs me is that there were other cars on the road who would have spotted what this guys was doing but no one stopped. I understand that people have to think about their own safety but how would they have felt if they learned the next day that the woman had been attacked?
  16. What about a Harrods Food Hall? Speak to the Qatari's and see if they're up for branching out in South London..failing that, Lidl, PoundLand, Netto??

  18. no worries..I've had far too much plonk (yes I know it's only 8pm but I've got broken toes so can't party) to care anyway!
  19. I'm not saying I prefer the area Sean.. it's just that I can walk to work in less than ten mins so I opted to move there as I work very long hours. I thought I would miss ED but I don't. Like I said I miss the parks and my family, community feel but for shopping and eating I prefer the Wharf.
