  1. But you realise that this transport agenda was in the election manifesto of both the conservative and labour parties?

    Peak guardian?

Keep telling yourself that if it makes you happy. I?m confused more about how this prompted forum fantasist glenn to emerge and regurgitate his usual word salad; to your credit at least you can engage and talk about something even if i disagree with you. He seems to emerge from his YouTube right wing nutter rabbit hole.

    Peak guardian?

Are you so blinkered that you can?t differentiate between the two contexts? The NZ delay was supported by the opposition. That?s not really the case in the US is it?

  6. I seem to see rahrah quoting government figures. For context here?s what the government is directing local authorities to do: The coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis has had a terrible impact on the lives and health of many UK citizens, as well as severe economic consequences. But it has also resulted in cleaner air and quieter streets, transforming the environment in many of our towns and cities. And millions of people have discovered, or rediscovered, cycling and walking. In some places, there?s been a 70% rise in the number of people on bikes - for exercise, or for safe, socially distanced travel. When the country gets back to work, we need them to carry on cycling, and to be joined by millions more. With public transport capacity reduced, the roads in our largest cities, in particular, may not be able to cope without it. We also know that in the new world, pedestrians will need more space. Indications are that there is a significant link between COVID-19 recovery and fitness. Active travel can help us become more resilient. That is why towns and cities in the UK and around the world are making or proposing radical changes to their roads to accommodate active travel. We recognise this moment for what it is: a once in a generation opportunity to deliver a lasting transformative change in how we make short journeys in our towns and cities. According to the National Travel Survey, in 2017-18 over 40% of urban journeys were under 2 miles ? perfectly suited to walking and cycling. Active travel is affordable, delivers significant health benefits, has been shown to improve wellbeing, mitigates congestion, improves air quality and has no carbon emissions at the point of use. Towns and cities based around active travel will have happier and healthier citizens as well as lasting local economic benefits. The government therefore expects local authorities to make significant changes to their road layouts to give more space to cyclists and pedestrians. Such changes will help embed altered behaviours and demonstrate the positive effects of active travel. I?m pleased to see that many authorities have already begun to do this, and I urge you all to consider how you can begin to make use of the tools in this guidance, to make sure you do what is necessary to ensure transport networks support recovery from the COVID-19 emergency and provide a lasting legacy of greener, safer transport. 7. Royal Docks? Not that close though
  8. Footage of Carlton Road / Dulwich village seems to show traffic behaving normally: https://mobile.twitter.com/graeme_raeburn/status/1278074469937033217
  9. ?The UK is suffering a car theft epidemic. Crimes of this type have risen by 50% in the past five years, the Home Office says. They reached an eight-year high in 2018, with more than 106,000 cars stolen in England and Wales.? https://www.whatcar.com/news/car-theft-group-test-britains-most-secure-cars-2019/n19874 By your tortuous logic we should ban selling cars and clamp them when not in use.

Can you advise where the regulations > state this? From the amendments to the Transport Act related to covid that I?ve previously posted. Technically they need only consult emergency services to make any changes that the government (via Department for Transport)has directed them to do.
  11. Stop sounding like a childish pedant. He?s engaged here and there is more going on in the world than some tweaking of a few Southwark streets.
  12. Glen will be here ranting about fReE sPeEch! Any moment...

Or it?s the Department of Transport Emergency Active Travel Fund that?s investing ?2bn across the UK
  14. Ah I?ve not been clear - act blue is a fundraising portal- a bit like just giving here in the UK. It specialises in donations from individuals.

TE44 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Snowy, great maybe you can explain in laymans > Terms what 501c3 status means and why a charity > could be involved in politics, thanks. hi, will do but have some work to do now. In short - there?s no direct equivalencies esteem a uk charity and a US not for profit (501 registered). The history behind that starts with Henry VIII so it?s not a short answer. The main point is that BLM is not Act Blue as Robbie said.
  16. What are you trying to say? Do you understand US Law on 501c3 status organisations? Sadly I do as it?s part of my job, but just randomly googling and posting selected excerpts and making incorrect interpretations as Robbie did to support some preconceived wrong just makes it look a bit tin foil hat territory.
  17. And act blue isn?t what you think it is - it?s the fundraising portal for all Democratic Party donations.
  18. The basic tenets of qanon are that there is a global elite who kill babies to harvest adrenochrome as an elixir. That?s just the start of it, it includes flat earthers, people who believe JFK is still alive, general anti semitism, snake oils, that the ?cure? for cancer has been found but big pharmaceutical is hiding it, that mass arrests of deep state agents are *always* just about to happen but never do. The latest is that covid doesn?t exist and it?s all an attempt to prevent trump?s reelection. It?s a con, a grift to make money for its advocates exploiting vulnerable people. Robbie - can I ask what you feel when you read about it?
  19. True f-Ing pundit?!
  20. That?s taking place - both new permanent sites and temporary ones.

  22. But grifters will always grift etc - they just have a bigger audience now
  23. The woman behind Plandemic is now saying that global elites are part of a satanic cult
