  3. It's quite a sensible move by Levy though still a bit of a gamble. He needed to appoint someone PDQ. So he promotes someone from within the club to steady the ship. If he's successful he's seen as a genius messiah and if he's not there will be plenty of top class coaches he can go for in the summer after the World Cup. Personally, I'm fed up with flavour of the month managers. Pottechini at Southampton seems to have been found out too. Six games without a win after such a promising start. A few seasons ago Barcelona appointed from within (Pep Guardiola) someone with no managerial experience and look what happened there. Not saying we're in the same league as them as a club by any stretch of the imagination, just trying to be positive and upbeat about Sherwood's appointment.
  4. AVB had ones too. Didn't help much.
  5. He doesn't need to spend anything. We've done that already. I think he'll give youth a chance. The Bentalab lad who came on against Southampton looked very assured and confident, is a good example. I don't want us wasting anymore money. I'd like to see Tom Carroll back from his loan spell at QPR, he has a good eye for a pass. You won't see him being overly cautious and playing two holding midfielders home or away. I think we'll be much for cavalier in our attitude so we can expect some high scoring entertaining games where we'll concede plenty but hopefully score more than the opposition. Good luck to him. COYS!
  6. Oh, I don't know we don't seem to have one. Adeybayor has suddenly come good though now he's getting some game time and the transfer window is opening soon. Strange coincidence that. Good win for us today though, so I'm not complaining.
  7. Sturridge was doing pretty good before he got injured and last season they won more games without Suarez than they did with him. Strange but true fact fans.
  8. You're nitpicking BNG. As StraferJack has so succinctly put it if you work in that lines of business you shouldn't be spouting that sort of stuff on social media.
  9. Well, what has she just done? I think you've answered your own question there.
  10. Putting the Farcebook/Twit debate aside. The fact is that if that is what she wrote she is a fecking stupid ignorant racist cow and deserves to be sacked.

  12. I met him once at the backstage bar at the Pheonix Festival in '94. An absolutely lovely unassuming bloke.
  13. What *Bob* and Stevo said.

Feck! I've made a mistake. There isn't a game at the Hamlet until the new year. Bugger!
  15. Nearly ?1,500 for a season ticket in the West Stand at Spurs and I still have to pay for Cup games. ?79 last night and ?25 each for the Europa Cup ties so far. It's a very long time since you could just turn up at the turnstiles and pay a few bob to get in and I've been at Spurs when there's been over 70,000 crammed into out little ground. We need to start building that new stadium NOW if we want to earn the revenue that pays players the sort of obscene wages they earn these days. I said on here a few weeks back that things could get a whole lot worse before they got better and I wasn't wrong was I. It's never easy being a Spurs fan. It's the hope that kills you. Anyway, I'm going to Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday to watch some proper football and hope that my recent run of bad luck doesn't put the voodoo on 'em. Happy Christmas everyone and good luck to West Ham in the cup.
  16. I was born in Kings and I was in and out of there as a patient during the 80s and 90s when I was very ill and I've been in A & E quite a bit too and each and every time the staff have been amazing. I can't praise them enough for the care I have received over the years. We're very lucky to have such a great hospital on our doorstep.

    WTF is a bitcoin?
  18. As if Sunday wasn't humiliating enough. Spent another eighty quid last tonight on a ticket. What a waste of money. It was a long walk back to the tube in the pouring rain. What a rotten few days it's been. Bloody Tottenham Hotspur!
  19. He's a very good coach but probably not the only one they've approached.
  20. He had a big problem with the kerb crawler David Pleat at the time who was director of football. Also, hopefully Glenn's man management skills have improved since then too. His last management job at Wolves was a big mistake but there's no doubt Glenn's coaching talents and footballing philosophy have been somewhat underused.
  21. I'd definitely have Glenn Hoddle back. Great article here in today's Telegraph about the breakdown between Levy and AVB. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/10521678/Tottenham-chairman-Daniel-Levy-and-manager-Andre-Villas-Boas-had-become-distant.html
  22. I'd get a new head cleaning CD first and try that and if that doesn't work I would suggest that the laser has gone and you'll need a new CD player.
