  1. Oh dearie me... just listened to the full horror of the Lennon/Bowie cod reggae of Let's Twist Again. Just awful.

Spot on. What were once two great pubs have been completely ruined so much so they no longer resemble pubs. The Clock House has had the most horrific makeover that makes it look like some awful ersatz pizza chain restaurant whilst The Dulwich Woodhouse resembles a Berni Inn from the 70s.
  3. Pah! Fecking lightweight.

  5. It worked before and it can work again.
  6. Yeah, of course you are.

I remember when it was an excellent pub and they had a very good restaurant out the back and quite a posh bar as well. So much so that you had to wear a tie in there. Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor used to eat in there in the 60s. It has a huge space for the garden where there is another bar and excellent parking facilities. I'd quite like to see it run on similar lines to The Great Exhibition. Makes perfect sense to me. And I only live around the corner so would be very good to have somewhere nearby to for a few ales and maybe a bit of nosh.
  10. You should get out more Alan.
  11. I'd forgotten about that. Glad you brought that up Pugwash. Poor George. bloody awful.
  12. Bring her too. Sorted.
  13. Fook me! What a nostalgia fest. It's always been good to me and I've lived in and around Dulwich all my life. I figure most of you here are harking back to some golden period in your life when you were young before you settled down, got married, had kids and got mortgaged up to the hilt. Life is still fun if you want it to be. Don't look back with rose tinted glasses. It's all good.

  16. As long as he's playing well, scoring goals and not being a lazy bastard I'm happy.
  17. Said Hamlet to Ophelia, I'll draw a sketch of thee, What kind of pencil shall I use? 2B or not 2B? Spike Milligan.
  18. I think Mourinho let him go because after last weekend's result he no longer sees Man Utd as a title threat, let alone top four. It's a very good buy for Man Utd and there will be more on the way in the summer. The whole team needs rebuilding and the signing of Juan Mata is as good a place to start as any. He is top class.
  19. Yeah, she's gone quiet hasn't she.
  20. A Drinking Song by William Butler Yeats Wine comes in at the mouth And love comes in at the eye; That's all we shall know for truth Before we grow old and die. I lift the glass to my mouth, I look at you, and I sigh.

  22. Not to be mixed up with the cockroach infested Chelsea Hotel, Steveo.

  24. The music business has always been infested with sharks. Like EP if I hear something I like whether it be on Spotify (which I'm not a big fan of) or You Tube, Mixcloud or Soundclound and I like it I'll go out and buy it.
