The Daily Mail being nice about Peckham

I must have missed that and your reasoning is of course correct but I can only go on my experience of the place. It was a fairly regular haunt of mine in the 90s. Maybe the profits went down when I stopped using it so much. ;-) -

The Wishing Well was a perfectly good local boozer before it had its heart and soul ripped out and turned into The Victoria Inn. It's a classic case of a pub completely ruined by new owners. It is so beige.... or grey judging by its latest lick of paint. -
It's at home. http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/dulwichhamlet/teams/56196/match-centre/1-2194271

I kind of mentioned it but haven't been in there for years and had forgotten his name. His dad probably cut my hair. I remember going there when I was a kid. My dad had an office on Rye Lane at the time. Amazed they're still there.

It's all on the thread for everyone to see. No use you calling me names or dragging up an old comments of mine that have absolutely no relevance here to the subject matter. Talk about having time on your hands. The only problem I have is with xenophobic, racist little bigots like you. I'd suggest you go and crawl back into the nasty little hole you crawled out off and stay there... old chap.

WTF is this shit? Well now you mention it. You doing them a favour by turning up for a haircut? You want to try thinking a little bit more before you post this kind of crap if you don't want come across as a Daily Mail/Express/Sun reading xenophobe. BTW - My dad used to take me to a Turkish/Cypriot barber shop on Grove Vale in the 60s where the nail bar is now. Lovely man, obviously long gone now. I also went to a similar place in Peckham too as well as Segars up by the Plough and Jansens on Half Moon Lane (also long gone) I haven't noticed any difference since those days.

I've been out several times tonight and unfortunately it's just too damn cloudy. Oh well, only another 18 years until the next one.

I stopped using Mems about eight or nine months sgo. I'd soon tired of their inane blokey banter and thought they were a couple of tosspots. Since then I've found a very nice chap at bottom of Melbourne Grove near the station who I now use regularly and highly recommend.

Pardon me while I quote Malcom Tucker here - "Give me a second while I look that up in my little file of things I really don't give a fuck about."

Wasn't that bad. I've seen far worse and I'm sure you have too, even though you only watched 20 minutes of it. Our best result against Scotland since 1975 and it's always good to beat them. Walker and Rose were superb, Rooney almost anonymous, Stirling has to learn when to pass and when to shoot and John Stones has got to cut out the silly mistakes. Lallana has improved by adding goals to his repertoire. We're still missing that creative sparkle in the middle of the park. We need more flare. Anyway, give Southgate the manager's job full-time. I think he's passed the audition.

How often do your frequent and support East Dulwich's restaurants?
Jah Lush replied to Mick Mac's topic in The Lounge
I don't eat out as often as I used to but here you go. Franklins - Quite a few times to eat. Always excellent. Boozing - Hundreds. A big favourite of mine. Palmerston - Only eaten there a few times. Drank there a lot many moons ago before it became more of a restaurant. Not been in for ages. EDT - Probably my favourite pub in the area so loads. Great bangers n' mash, beer selection and the staff are very nice too. The Gowlett - Lots. Another favourite. Best pizza locally and the staff are lovely. The Cherry Tree - A few post match drinks and a few afternoon sessions in the garden during the summer. Keep meaning to have the burgers there as they look great and very reasonably priced. Massively improved since the previous owners left. Yama Momo - No thank you. Le Chardon - Quite a bit but not so much recently. (Best fish soup ever, gorgeous wine/Armagnac). Very sad to hear that it's closing. Tandoori Nights - Several times but not been for ages. Not as good as it was/thinks it is. Sema Thai - Three or four times but before the reverb. So ages ago. Thai Corner Caf? - Once. Can't understand why it's packed out all the time as distinctly average Thai food. The Lordship - Several times. Food has always been excellent. The Sea bass was amazing. Franco Manca - No. Not mad keen on sourdough. Meat Liquour - Not yet. Keen to give it a go. ToastED - A few times but mostly when I've been flush or treated. Great selection of brandy/Armagnac. Mr Bao - Where it is. I don't know? Bahn Bahn - See above. The Rye - Several times when it did Thai food. A few roasts/football on a Sunday. Not been for a while. Burro - No. Where? Peddar - No. Far too small and like Stevo not keen on claustrophobia, clatter and weird beards. Spinach - No. Mr Liu - A few times but not for a while. Le Chandelier - Never. Burro e Salvia - Pardon? Hisar - Not been for ages but always liked in there. French House - Once. Propped up the bar for dessert and more wine/brandy. Charming waitress. Great Exhibition - Used to eat there quite a lot but not for over a year now. Still miss the CPT. Olivellis - No. Il Mirto - No. House of Tippler - Only eaten in there once. Wasn't up to much though I'm sure it's great now that Pretty Tapas is doing the her thing there. ?50+ a round of drinks whenever I go there and then a doorman politely asks me to leave when I've not been that pissed. That's happened twice recently. Bastards! GBK - Once or twice. Thought it was crap. The Surma - Hundreds. Mirash - Loads. Draft House - RIP. Flying Pig - A few boozes. Cafe Noodle - Never. Si Mangia/Lorenzos - Loads. The Actress - You're having a giraffe. -
I e-mailed the Predictor people about the final result earlier and it is now up to date.

I've just emailed them about the update. Hopefully, it won't be long.

Let's hope he is a one-term president- if he doesn't get impeached. If Bernie was on the ballot he would have won. He always polled higher against Trump than Clinton. She never did.
-
Bernie Sanders was cheated out of the running by Clinton and her entourage who manipulated the DMC in order to secure Clinton as the candidate. A fair percentage of those that were going to vote Sanders obviously didn't vote for Clinton due to this, hence Trump Trumped.

Whatever. Nonetheless it is still fatuous.
