Oh sure Magpie I used to go to the Uplands Tavern in the 70s but I'm pretty sure it was called something else before that.

The Victoria Inn is the original name of the Wishing Well and I don't think The Uplands is the original name of The Uplands. Hopefully an older poster may be able to tell us exactly what it was called if I'm correct.

You make a good point there Matthew. I think it could all go tits up if that were to happen and the only people to make any money out of it would be the lawyers. I'm quite sure they are already rubbing their hands with glee in anticipation of a wind up order.

"Used to be" Northlonder but hasn't been for a very long time and has been shut for more than two years. Many of the shops on that parade have been closed for far too long and that makes the place look shabby. Time to move on and hopefully some of the other premises will follow suit.
