I saw them in Nice the year before and they were the best I'd ever seen them and I haven't missed a tour since I first saw them in '76. Luckily I didn't have to pay for those tickets either. But, really it's not like they need the money and ?150 is just a rip-off even if they living legends and the best live act around. Let's put 'em on anyway...I bloody love the Stones. A fiver! That's brilliant value even if I'm not much of a fan of Metallica I think that's a very honourable thing to do for their fans. As much as I love the Stones seeing them the O2 last year the tickets were ?150 each although luckily for me I didn't have to pay as a friend who was a big cheese at EMI until his recent redundancy got me the tickets for nothing.

Hmmm...I've been offered tickets for forthcoming gigs by Jerry Lee Lewis (100 Club) and Little Richard and for the same reasons I don't want to tempt fate as they are both getting on a bit.

Jeez! I'd almost forgotton about Joe Jackson. I remember seeing him do a really good set at the Crystal Palace Concert Bowl supporting Bob Marley in 1980. Which reminds me, this is a classic clip and great song.
