  3. Oh dear we're getting into Swiss Toni territory here aren't we. Anyway, buying a car like making love to a beautiful woman...etc etc. She had a lovely chassis actually Lozzy and underneath that bonnet was well oiled engine that put in a high performance....I'll get me coat.
  4. Ah! Sir Brendan Van Dingbat, good work. You're obviously a man who knows his bouncers from his googlies. You'll be fielding as silly mid-on no doubt.
  5. Ooops sorry missed you're apology there Sean.
  6. A 2:1 at Oxford (Wow! well done) and what do you do for a living? You're an estate agent. As Johnny said: "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated." Sorry, but it had to be said and it's not a personal slight at you although it probably looks that way. Anyway back on thread. I was unfortunate enough to have bought my current humble little abode right at the tail end of the last boom and bust period. My nextdoor neighour's flat had just been repossessed when I moved in and I spent the next ten years in negative equity. I had thought that I would be there for maybe three or four years and then get somewhere bigger and make a couple of bob perhaps in an upwardly mobile sort of way but that wasn't to be. It may not be much but it's home and I've been there for 18 years now and am perfectly happy where I am.

  12. What Annaj and Rook said. Of course you must have freedom of speech so give 'em enough rope and let them hang themselves with it. Sooner the better.

I'd really like to see Leeds get that bit of luck they need to get promoted, because let's face it they haven't had much lately have they. Certainly their fans deserve it and without the 15 point deduction that would have been up there already.
  16. Turn it up then. Anything to drown out the resident loudmouth Chelsea fan.
  17. Boobs? Where? Oh! lactating ones....zzzzzzzzzzzz
  18. That's 77 too many ignorant racist right-wing bastards living in our area.
  19. Yawns, stretches and yawns again. Christ almighty! Is this thread really still going? Falls asleep through sheer boredom.
  20. Or a computer with an MP3 player plugged into the soundsystem like they had in Inside 72. You'd get more choice that way and could go in a burn a few of your own CDs onto the playlist.
  21. hmm...crossed posts. I'll follow yours though if you like. Don't Drive Drunk - Stevie Wonder

  23. What's A Girl To Do? - Bat For Lashes.
  24. Well, there certainly used to be nets there on the Court Lane side as you walk across towards the Village. Have they been taken down? I suppose you'll find out tonight.
  25. Was walking past there earlier today and saw the owner chatting to the painter. I can't say I like this shade of green but then I rather liked the purple. This is easily my favourite pub in the area and my venue of choice to watch the footy, another big plus is that all the staff are lovely. Obviously it's needed doing up for quite some time now. Hopefully they'll give it a little lick of paint inside as well and cover up the few cracks with a bit of plaster. I'm up for the jukebox in the corner as well.
