MY PLACE!:)) Can I assume that your presence is my "prize"??? btw:Wouldn't bother with the knitting group, they wouldn't have me as a Membern and I was a specialist in Weft Knitting!.::o

  3. ratty Wrote: Hello, I just feel that this country is going ever steadily down the pan. Maybe it's just because someone threatened to shoot me in Brockley last week for driving in front of them! You are amongst friends here so come clean ratty..DID you drive in front of him?(6)(6)
  4. People on all Forums(The British Ex-Pat Site is the worst example) who repeat the ENTIRE comments of someone they are responding to(even if it is one page long!) and then reply with 5 words..LMAO:))
  5. This is Harriet Harman,Daughter of an Aristocrat? Harriet read the Blacknet Forum(a fair cross-section of their Community) and read what they think of "All-Black" Schools!
  6. James Wrote:I went to a Grammar school - ...I await your responses.... Firstly my Grammar School with 350 years proud Academic history became a "Sink School" within 8 years of losing its "Grammar" status..Pretty impressive one feels.(6) Secondly must have read 500 stories of Guys in the Public eye who were held back at School because the disruptive kids not only did not want to learn as it was boring and uncool but made damn sure no-one else did either!(6)
  7. I went to a Grammar school - and am thankful for it. As I was near the top in most Subjects in Primary School allow me to Co-Sign with "Bob".. Teachers who wore robes to the classroom.Caned if you got under 10/20 in Geography weekly tests when I was 12. Caned at 12 for only getting 23% in our end-of-year English Literature Exam...as Mary Hopkin would say Those Were The Days.. p.s.Got "found out" somewhat at Grammar School when I was thrust into competition with some of South London's finest...:)) Never could do Ancient-Greek backwards like Peter King, for example,:)) now practising at Kings College...

  11. "When you could piss in the pocket of the guy in front of you "... Actually that reminds me of a Millwall Away game at West Bromwich Albion when some of the 3,000 Millwall fans trying to get into the Away End were suddenly "showered" from above! Unfortunately these showers were far from golden as the Heavens were clear that evening. Came from earlier arrivals in the Tier above:X:X ...and we managed to turn a 3/0 First-Leg lead into a 5/4 overall deficit!(td)

Terrible tragedies(td) easily avoidable today if there is the will(tu) Lord Chief Justice Taylor only "recommended" All-Seater Stadia(ASS):-$ Bradford was a terrible tragedy and that was not about the terraces but the stands. "When you could piss in the pocket of the guy in front of you "... Oh! I'm most terribly sorry! I didn't realise I was doing it to a future fellow forumite and I WAS in a fearful rush to go to the non-existent loo!..Expediency..B) "and punch him in the face if he complained"... I didn't hear you complain at the time! No different, sadly, now.Only away from the Stadia and more regulated..Sadly scum will be scum(6) I'll add another "petty":) those who use "emotional blackmail" with reminders about those tragedies to keep us(der people) entrapped in our **** seats when we want to be free as a bird and spread our wings on the terraces>:D<

Having been used to speaking to PEOPLE on the phone for decades it is frustrating, beyond belief to go thru' the Menu cr+p particularly,as you say, when the option you want is not covered at all and you not only go round in circles you, literally, can not speak to anyone to resolve it with the options available. The worst? Probably British Telecom, ironically.Truly appalling "organisation"...

Witness Stephen K.Amos in the March 2007 documentary on homophobia in the black British community and Jamaica, Batty Man, was broadcast by Channel 4. Very poignant and disturbing scene when he "came out" during his gig in Brixton. I've never seen an audience change instantly like that before when, after initially assuming he was joking about being Gay,the audience suddenly realised that he was being perfectly serious.Eventually left to the sound of his own footsteps after an hilarious start, enjoyed by all, until the "revelation"...
  16. Having just watched a marvellous England performance tonight,I'll give you some Football grievances, circa 2008:- 1/ Not having the CHOICE to stand on The Terraces with t' lads. 2/ Not being able to park anywhere near the ground anymore-everyone has therir private space now:-$ 3/ Relatively more expensive than days of yore.. 4/ Having to purchase a ticket beforehand in many cases preventing the spontaneous visit(if you and t' lads suddenly decide to catch a game). 5/ Not having the CHOICE to stand on The Terraces with t' lads 6/ Having to stay in the same spot thru' the game-used to love changing ends with t' lads. 7/ Not having Replays in Cup Finals/Semi-Finals(penalties devalue the victory imho) 8/ Watching many players who you know are purely there for the money and not the shirt.(will theygo back and watch "their" team in 10 years time regularly...I don't think so... 9/ All-Seater Stadia or ASS for short(lovely toilets though)..artificial,dull and (comparitively) lacking in any atmosphere with the SWAYING Kop or The North Bank/Shed/Roker End/Holte End/Kippax Road End etc... 10/ Loss of great Stadiums like Roker Park/Baseball Ground/Burnden Park/Ayresome Park-true Football Stadia.. 11/ Have I mentioned being told to sit at a game without an alternative?B)(td) Still the greatest game in the World bt where's the PASSION??
  17. We played technically really well and with confidence and, rarely away from home, with courage. Sir Fabio Capello>:D<
  18. At the risk of....blah! blah!.. The 10% of Outer Londoners and 75%/80% of Inner Londoners 2008 stylee who do not acknowledge it when you extend a courtesy on the road. The 20% of Outer Londoner Pedestrians and 87/88%(might even be 89%) of Inner London Pedestrians who do not acknowledge it when you stop at Zebra Crossings... To be fair thats only based on 500,000 London Road Miles:)) SUE ME!
  19. Triumphalism: As personified by Neil Kinnock. The only Man to celebrate winning a General Election the night before he lost it....>:D<
  20. SeanMacGabhann Wrote: Seamusmac shoots and scores! IF you are going to go for a 50/50, do NOT say out loud "I think it's between C & B" before going for a 50/50 only to find the two choices left are the same two you just gave away Agreed, and thats why it can NOT be "random". As you know the odds are 3/1 against the 2 options that they mention coming out(if we assume one of those "2" is the correct answer)..I was say over the hundreds of shows that I have seen around 50%+ of the time the "2" mentioned miraculously appears, accompanied by CT's "Oh! No!"...:X
  21. Random Game Show irritations:- 1/ Deal or No Deal: Person does not gamble and takes,say,?5,000...they play on and when the last 2 boxes ""would have been" either ?5 or ?20,000 they, when asked what they 2would2 have done if they had continued and not taken the money say: "I would have gambled!"..Yeah RIGHT!B) 2/ Millionaire: 85% Audience tell him/her the answer and because he/she did not know themselves they hesitate over whether 85% all independently say the right answer! 3/ Millionaire:Contestants don't know the answer and then gofor a "50/50" Whats the point if you haven't a clue,by your own admission. 4/ Millionaire:Contestants who take a "50/50" to reduce the odds for their "phone-a-friend"..Do you think they are going to guess witgh YOUR money???...either they know the answer or not!..Wasted lifeline, again. Then when the contestants get to the real money they bemoan the fact that they have no lifelines left! 5/ Millionaire:Contestants who waste lifelines when they are virtually certain that they do know the answer!
  22. If someone does not mind the positive plethora NAE proliferation of public camera's because it only affects people up-to-no-good then ask them if they would mind someone following THEM round 24/7 in the street with a Camera shoved up their hooter..I mean,if they are NOT up-to-no-good then waz dere problem? yougetme?
