  1. Thanks Alice - I was trying to remember details of work a friend had done in Sydenham . Is scaffolding needed if right on road for safety reasons /prorection of pedestrains on pavement ?
  2. If that makes sense ? Or would replacing windows to a high building involve scaffolding ?
  3. Will there be an official freezer installation ceremony Sue ? An opportunity for the great and good of East Dulwich to meet up over canapes ?
  4. Remembrance possible without drums though ?
  5. Michelle that sounds awful . Assett - not good . I can't help wondering why this road doesn't seem to have any traffic warden presence like other roads in Southwark ? Does anyone know chapter and verse re legality and enforcement relating to blocked roads ? Can the police help if the road is blocked as per Assett's pic ? Can fines be issued if photos with reg nos and time and date provided ? Or does a Traffic Warden have to be there at the time ? >Posted by Glemham November 06, 11:56PM Local residents are only too well aware of this ongoing and completely unacceptable situation with coaches and school parking in Townley Road. We frequently monitor the dangerous parking, ask drivers to turn off their engines, take photos and send them to local councillors and Helen Hayes MP. Last year saw the publication of the Foundation Schools Coach survey: [consultations.southwark.gov.uk] which promised much but delivered nothing. Please support us by sending your concerns to local councillors, Helen Hayes MP and the Transport Manager for the Foundation School coaches who is based at Dulwich College: [email protected]. Glemham what sort of response have submissions /complaints had ?
  6. > If 816 people drink two pints at all 23 home games, then they would hit the ?150,000 mark. And that's before you consider crisps, soft drinks and pork scratchings. I'm beginning to confuse this thread with the coach parking in Townley Rd one ,everything is starting to sound like those complex maths questions . But ,seriously I wish there were a clear set of figures somewhere showing income ,expenditure ,input from Meadows . Smething to answer Ruffers questions above .
  7. Plural bars and businesses only generate an income of ?156000? Is that profit after overheads ,costs wages whatever or just an income ? Even if the latter it seems very low to me ,not that I have any facilty at all with numbers .Not entered for O level Maths because I'd be a "waste of the entrance fee" Me ,bitter Miss Gibbs ? Noooooo.
  8. "I heard they thought it would spoil the look of the school." Thank goodness - one for the Art Dept,I was worried that we were getting a little too Science based here .
  9. Oh that has made me laugh edhistory . Should the question " Compare parking enforcement and numbers of penalties issued in Lordship Lane with same in Townley Rd ." also go to the maths dept ( lots of scope for graphs I feel ) or ,lets think ,Sociology A level set ,Citizenship ?
  10. Surely it's not a question of school children travelling by car OR coach ? Is there some arcane ruling whereby Alleyn's prohibits their pupils travelling to school by public transport ? And didn't Alleyns build a theatre on their MOL ? At least car parking wouldn't represent permanent loss of MOL .
  11. I expect you've tried phoning round tyre places - Madhouse ? Madhouse Tyres 4/12 Albany Road off Old Kent Road London SE5 0DS Tel: 0207 701 8161 [email protected]
  12. Regarding the wage bill - I know nothing about this type of thing so could someone tell me how many players that is for ? I'm assuming more than 11 ,reserves ? second teamm ( is that a thing ? ) Does it include other people apart from players ? And how much of it would be NI etc ? I'm assuming that Gavin Rose isn't able to comment on whether the figures are accurate ? Cardelia what would a normal type wages bill be for another club playing at this level ?
  13. 1sttimer - your gates to your forecourt look as though they make your access considerably narrower than the pavement crossover . Absolutely not my business I know but if the opening were wider wouldn't this ease the situation so that a car very slightly over the edge of the crossoever ,as in your photo ,wouldn't be such a problem ?
  14. Ah ,trinidad - I've attended a physio appt at East Dulwich Hospital ,couple of years ago . I'm sure there are several working there and that some will be better than others .I wasn't impressed with mine .Sheet of exercises -not talked through or demonstrated .Had never heard of Alexander technique . Not helped by very very long wait for appointment - poor old NHS . My advice would be to google exercises if you have a diagnosis and ,if you can ,go privately .
  15. ok ,I've cracked . Trinidad could you edit the thread title sothat there is spelt their .Which is no doubt what you intended .
  16. John ,I think you're right there's a line saying "virus free 2 and then the virus checkers web address . I have opened them in Notepad with no content displayed .I think as said upthread that the size of the attachments - 1 and 2 kb indicate that they don't contain anything .
  17. Thank you so much Sephiroth that's so clear ,it's lovely to be able to understand something .Do you teach this stuff ? And huge thanks to Red Devil and Robert Poste's Child as well for bothering to try and help .
  18. ask them to check their source files - um ,sorry to be dense ,but what would they be checking for ? Would it be to see if the 1 and 2 kb files were supposed to have other info/meant to be larger ? This is hard to explain may not be relevant /only of interest if like me you don't have a life but We've been askinf for over a year for certain details ,the sender recently said they'd just sent the attachments and quoted a dated email that they were attached to ,we said please resend as not received ,they sent a oneline email saying "Thank You" ,we asked again and got these ones I'm having trouble with . Anyhoo ...on looking at the dated email referred to ,there was an attachment indication - one of those paperclips - but no attached files at bottom of email .When I clicked on paperclip ,I just got a link to a free virus checker .
  19. I wonder if that's it Red Devil ? It would be so good to know - we are struggling ,without legal help ,to deal with inherited land abroad ( used to be an associated state with Britian and follows UK law ) .
  20. They're 1 and 2 kb Sheporith . I didn't know that Red Devil ( and lots of other stuff ) so it would help to know how many files were sent . There is one ie 1kb "empty" attachment for each PDF attachment . But there is also a single attschment titled image jpg which is also "empty" when opened .
  21. are they just files created by the virus checker ? - I don't know ,surely that wouldn't appear as an attachment ? Are they sending in HTM because it's online content ie so you can view it offline? I don't know ,I don't understand these things .I'm expecting copies of documents ,letters - would that be likely to be online content? Could you explain a bit more ? If someone got something digitally and then wanted to forward it ,would that be online content ?
