  1. I had a look on Southwark's interactive planning map to see if other houses in your road who'd had work done had any useful plans on line . But sadly it now seems that "older" applications ( though is 3 years ago really old ? ) have no documents on line . Such a shame . I didn't check Landells half houses ,might be some there .
  2. Rosetta - http://moderngov.southwark.gov.uk/mgFindMember.aspx?XXR=0&AC=POSTCODE&sPC=SE15%204DB&
  3. Jeremy - I need diagrams ! Would this work with terraced houses ? Would every household have to join in ? How would it accomodate people who wanted a front garden? Ghlpc - agree with all you say ,tho not sure of legality of last sentence .I mean legality of action suggested in last sentence.
  4. Penguin - if you walk around the mean streets of East Dulwich you'll find that parking more than one car at the front of your terraced house is not the norm . Quite agree with your last paragraph re drainage and the deployment of council activity and funds .
  5. Car taken off road and parked on forecourt - one less car No parking across dropped kerb -one less parking space No gain or loss to parking spaces . Double yellow lines either side of dropped kerb - loss of 3 car parking spaces http://www.southwark.gov.uk/info/473/guide_to_parking/3069/dropped_kerbs_and_driveways/4
  6. details of mtg on 25 th Feb http://fhrgp.co.uk/patient-group/page/patient-participation-group.html no minutes available for last mtg in November ...

  8. Jeremy - that's a point about electric cars ,but not necessary to have access to private forecourt .Some kerbside provision already exists for charging electric cars .I'd vote for extending this as opposed to getting rid of front gardens.
  9. Maybe TheCat has aesthetic or environmental concerns . Or possibly a concern that the pavement will be damaged as it's not designed ,as a crossover is ,for driving over .Perish the thought . It would be interesting to know what the position is now re double yellow lines either side of new dropped kerbs. James Barber has led me to believe that the new policy of installing these 2 metres to either side has been dropped when the crossover is in a side/minor road .But still holds for roads like Barry Rd .In which case I believe there is the opportunity for neighbours to comment . And yes TheCat I believe you can park in front of your neighbours forecourt/garden .
  10. Roulier White - lovely staff ,always helpful .Not patronising - I'm very shabby ,not your ED demographic at all . And they went to great lengths to help my son ( also non ED demographic ) choose two beautiful perfumes for his Christmas present to me . I love them . And I'm fussy .
  11. Partner just watched Phoenix today - U3A - very highly recommends http://www.theguardian.com/film/2014/oct/15/phoenix-film-first-look-review-christian-petzold-nina-hoss I wasn't aware of the TBP ,thanks for mentioning .And cheaper !
  12. " Planning Enforcement has been scaled back by the current administration" scaling back ? you'll be telling me next that this government and the last made massive cuts to LA expenditure !
  13. It's completely outrageous .Why isn't whatever relevant Southwark department that has responsibilty for planning control ,taking action ?
  14. Phone Southwark 020 7525 2000 and speak to someone . Are you households that are not able to have a wheelie bin ? If so ,then you do need to put rubbish in clear bags ,which they supply . But this has been the case for a long time and isn't new .
  15. Thanks .
  16. Which way did you go ? Forest Hill to East Croydon ? Is the ?5.80 one way ?
  17. These http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00V2A2IE8/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_3?pf_rd_p=569136327&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B003D5WQFG&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=1E0B39J7QPXM55SKJ7A7 are good and my preferred method .Leave against a skirting board with entrance positioned adjacent to wall ,bait with apple, chocolate etc . Very effective at catching mice .
  18. I friends who live in Oakhurst who have remarked on this .They've commented on the practice of dumping small stuff next to the paladins rather than in them .
  19. Thank you Sidhue ,that sounds right . And as though no decision yet on the planning for the 2 extra flats ?
  20. Although looking on line again the appeal decision is given as "appeal made against non determination " . Is that Southwark appealing against a non determination based on them not meeting deadlines ?
  21. Not obvious to me but presume the appeal resulted in permission for the third floor and extra flats . Very obvious how critical the developer was of Southwark planners.
  22. Ah ,ok ,got it .Minor planning application .http://planbuild.southwark.gov.uk/documents/?casereference=15/AP/1186&system=DC Gone to appeal .
