> (remember the ill-fated envelope code tied to each street). I don't know what this was. What was the date of the committee meeting?

I see there's both a bike electric conversion kit and a Logitech comms hub that go by that name. There was an interesting Radio 4 programme last week about the former, featuring the Swytch's creator and CEO, Oliver Montague, https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001r1wb.

The earliest update returned by https://web.archive.org/, that of 22 June 2020, has just the same six points. The one before that was in 2015.

And here, following OOF's more skilful example, is my graphic version (orange line) of the 42 diversion., my understanding being that south of King's College Hospital, it uses Dog Kennel Hill in both directions. It's superimposed on TFL's own map of the usual route (red line). No mention here yet of normality restored, so I hope I'm not out-of-date.

EAST DULWICH GROVE, SE22: Route 42 is on diversion in both directions via Champion Lane and Dog kennel Hill due to Thames Water works. Buses towards Appold Street will not serve stops ‘Quorn Road’(L) to ‘Champion Hill’(Q). Buses towards East Dulwich Sainsburys will not serve stops ‘Champion Hill’(K) to ‘East Dulwich Station’(D). Please allow extra time for your journey. says https://tfl.gov.uk/bus/status/?input=42&lineIds=42&&direction=outbound PS: I think they must mean "via Champion Park, Grove Lane and Dog Kennel Hill".

I signed up a long time ago to receive SE22 service update emails from RM. This one, the first I can remember, arrived this morning. We're sorry to advise that parts of the SE22 postcode area may experience disruption to deliveries due to resourcing issues at the East Dulwich Delivery Office. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for your understanding. We'll be back in touch to inform you when the resourcing issues have improved. Please note: To collect items from our Customer Service Point, you will need a valid 'Something for you' card or electronic notification advising we're holding an item for you. Please check [URL] for opening times, as these may be subject to change. Kind regards, Royal Mail Customer Services We are indeed on today's Deliveries Today list at https://www.royalmail.com/service-update. -

Just had to close my window five minutes ago because of same burning smell as last Friday, though more powerful. It surely hasn't restarted?

Could someone please post a copy of the flyer.

Has anyone searched for it?

It seems to be an area-wide change: https://www.swiftqueue.co.uk/Synnovis.php?group=Syn_GP. I'd rule out the possibility that it's not possible to use the dedicated kiosk they mention, or your smartphone, to make an appointment in five minutes time, before making any complaints. And wait to see what replaces the current queue ticket system, which has worked very simply and efficiently whenever I've gone there.

I'm after a battery for a Toshiba (Satellite?) Equium A200-1V0 fairly urgently. Before I put my faith in deliveries, any suggestions for reachable sources that might have one on a shelf? Its part number is Toshiba PA3534U-1BRS.

Is there any good evidence of the dumping times and numbers? Would it in future be obtainable from automated monitoring of bike location maps made available by Lime? How well parked are the presumed dumped ones? How long do the bikes remain where dumped?

What's your evidence?

I got the form and large envelope from the Post Office counter a month ago. There is a downloadable form available. I can PM you one if you can't find it easily. It's a freepost address. A rather mixed experience when I sent them off. You have to specify how many stamps you're sending and their gross value. I took care to get that right. When they sent the new batch back there were separate discrepancies between what I'd sent and what they say I'd sent, and between what they said they were sending me and what I received. I then had to fill in an online form reporting the errors, and got a email back that reiterated their records and asking me to correct it if need be. Which gave me the impression there's a lot of it about. As I was concerned about the possibility of theft en route -- it was £165.65 worth -- I'd photographed all the stamps and marked envelope in a single shot and even video'd sealing them all in the envelope and then posting it. I've sent them a copy of the photo, together wih an acerbic email in which I admit to having perhaps foolishly not video'd my opening of their envelope. Expecting to hear from them soon, I hope with at least the £9.50 worth I'm still due. Update 15/5 Two days later I had to send RM a grovelling apology, having found the missing two books of stamps that they'd sent, on the floor, close to the surface onto which I'd emptied their envelope. That resolved the major discrepancy. It still left the provable difference between what I said I'd sent, and what they claimed they'd received. It was only the equivalent of treating two first class stamps as second class, a mere 70p, but rather odd. I wonder if I might have been less ready to latch onto the wrong conclusion about the mislaid books if there hadn't been that definite error. It's been resolved now anyway. I'd still recommend keeping a good record of the stamps sent.

Colin, you mention areas where restrictions are applied only in term time. Whereabouts, and how is that indicated?
-
Rockets, what are they providing for you at the moment, FTTC or ADSL? If FTTC, was that an upgrade? PS: A search on "FTTP blocked duct" helps expose the likely problem. Here for example is one extract from a Sky forum: "Our metre of in-pavement duct was delayed by over a month just to get paperwork back from the local authority and a power company (because it went past a lamp post). If it had to cross the road, several more months would have been likely." https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband/How-long-to-clear-blocked-duct/td-p/4248704 I'm not even sure where my own copper connection emerges from the garden. Must have a look.

I think I spoke too soon. Being signed in seems to be a necessary factor at present. If you're not, the generated link is for the head of the thread only. I've noted at least three variants of the tail of the URL, either a basic anchor or a function call, all of which seem to work in getting you to the most recent comment, so perhaps this is still work in progress. But none of those appear if user is not signed in. I've checked on three different machines/OS's, and even on a smart phone.
