William Rose Butchers queue is getting ridiculously long again
Seabag replied to JRK's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Flock & Herd You can order by phone, or get there early The Butchery is good too. But lots of places mail order now. Turner & George near The Angel do good mail order, as do Fosse Meadows (poultry) and Philip Warren in Cornwall. The all use these wool packs with ice packs to keep it fresh. I use them often enough to know it?s a good way to shop if you?re challenged for time and access. -

From what I?ve read (I?m not a doctor or health care professional) those on low to medium dose ICS (inhaled corticosteroids) are not at a greater risk, those on a higher dose may be, but they?re also possibly vulnerable due to the nature of their advanced disease anyway. But I believe there was a question around it back in March. However, if you?re concerned please contact your GP For me moving out of London has helped my asthma considerably, I guess the air in our beloved city wasn?t doing me any good. So I?m happy I feel better, but I?m not cured of it, just less in need of the ICS since moving here to Sevenoaks.

I?m asthmatic, but spent much of my time be the least asthmatic I could during this COVID 19, so much so I moved out of London and managed to get off of the steroid inhalers etc, so I wasn?t as ?at risk? as I could have been. But now I find myself ?fantasising? how I might be asthmatic enough to move faster up the line towards being vaccinated. I mean don?t get me wrong, I?m glad I?m well and all that, better than ever actually. But am I wrong hoping to be in line earlier than most. It?s a dilemma, I?m challenging my own selfishness here, which I don?t like. But I?m quite keen to take advantage to stay as alive as possible for as long as possible. Or is this just the quandary of being human. Does anyone else feel like this?

Elvis From Nunhead UK London - New Facebook Group - Do Join
Seabag replied to Thunderblue600's topic in The Lounge
Ok, I did google this and watched a few videos of the Nunhead Elvis performing. He?s got something going on, and it?s giving people a lot of pleasure. His ?Elvis? moves are probably better than his actual ?singing?, but why let that get in the way, as he?s got the track playing anyway, so when he?s gasping for air after a few 1970?s Vegas style Karate moves, the real Elvis is there to take over. In fact Nunheads Elvis probably let?s real Elvis carry him a fair bit, while he gets on with ?channeling? Elvis, with his dancing and moving between the wheelie bins of his make do street stage. I?d go to watch him if I was in the area, for sure. This kind of act is rare these days, and though he looks a little more Shakin Steven?s than Elvis is no matter. He?s brave and kind enough to raise money for people in need, and good luck with to him. Elvis lives! and he lives in Nunhead. -

Sadly, it sounds like a micro super spreader opportunity to me. I think it?s well intentioned, but you only need a few ?drunk by midnight? people giving it the ?come on a hug can?t hurt can it?!? and we?re back in danger again. Maybe if it?s done early enough, where every other person is sober, then great. 2020 is a big year to see out, hopefully it?s done safely. Happy New Year in anticipation.

If I?m honest, I?m strangely enjoying the madness. Like ?peeking between my fingers? at the scary bits in a horror film kind of way. Maybe the White house will go up in an inferno, and Trump will stager out all ablaze, like a human torch. He?ll eventually slump to his knees and the rain will pelt down. All that will be left is a blazing skyline and a carbonised figure (teeth still intact) smouldering in the downpour.

I?ve often thought of this programme over the years, but it?s very relevant now and could be here in Southwark Monty Don visits 80 gardens around the world, and they?re beautiful. But the ones in Cuba are my favourite. I?ve added this link and the Cuba part is nearer the end. Have a watch, it?s really inspiring. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b008wf8l/around-the-world-in-80-gardens-1-mexico-and-cuba

The whole not conceding thing just happens to coincide with Trumps new PAC. https://apple.news/AUS1pHvMxRr2gB0dxXjMbTA Basically they?re aggressively soliciting donation for a defence fund to fight the election results. Trump?s solicitation website carries a banner headline that says ?OFFICIAL ELECTION DEFENSE FUND? and ?CONTRIBUTE NOW.? But read the small print and it turns out that only donations over $8000 actually go to the fund, the rest can be dispersed as they see fit to other needs. So basically Trump is pulling one last stunt to get cash from his supporters. And kicking the can down the road buys them more time. What a guy, he?s consistent, I?ll give him that.

Around ?370 , which if you say it fast seems ok. But it can also monitor your heart, and lots of other super super features. Buy one, then one day when you can fly somewhere you can keep all your boarding passes on it, which feels great going through the airport. Just remember to charge it up though ☝️😃
