Green and Blue closure?
MadWorld74 replied to Ultraconsultancy's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
yes I walked past today and was gutted to see it shut. Now where am I to get my Pinot?! I was told by the owner that they had a bit of a to do with Celestial next door, over a waterpipe....and that because they are an establishment that serves both food and drink...they had to shut due to Health and Safety? God only knows. I just hope the next door neighbours (Celestial) pull their fingers out and do something quick to ensure that G & B can reopen asap. As far as the Cafe Nero comparision.....really, no need for it. -
working up by Old Bailey. Only tourists. Could go on a rampage of Starf*cks and create havoc.

Cost of renting in East Dulwich/Peckham?
MadWorld74 replied to Lamby's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
guess we were lucky then. I certainly know that we can't afford to buy in ED. -
It's still a job and they get paid for it Asset. No excuse to do a shoddy job just because you have a low wage. What next? Nurses in the NHS not giving a sh*t because they get a low wage. No. It's not like it forced labour. These guys did apply in free will to take on the role of street cleaning operatives.

Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You'll definitely find something if you don't mind > ex-council flats. Rubbish!!! we have a lovely two bed flat in a quiet road with stripped wood floors and a lovely large garden and we pay ?900 before bills.....and it's private not ex council. You have to be quick off the mark and literally snap a flat up as soon as you see it. We were running up and down LL a few years ago between agents and we lost a flat by about 10 seconds. No joke. -
I'll come and empty your bins for fifty quid!

The Bishop does some good veggie food......

can I have some of your dirty nappies and I'll leave 'em out and see what response I get......Mind you if I were clearing our nappies I reckon I'd be half cut on whisky or the bottle of 'something'!!!

Jesus Christ!!! Bin men aren't the type of east end boys portrayed in Steptoe & Son. They do get paid!!!!and they get paid quite alot. They aren't bin men anymore, but Street Hygiene Operatives....or something like that. It all seems a bit like Master and Servant to be tipping bloody binmen!.....and as for giving them single malt whisky! jesus, the rubbish would be even more chucked about than usual. P*ssed bin men. Brilliant.
-
nothing is what I tip them because they're f*cking useless. They have failed to empty our bins on regular occassions and then when they do, the rubbish is strewn across the god damn garden path. Phone call after phone call to the council, and it gets sorted. I don't know where abouts you live in ED Monica, but we don't get cards from the bin men.....

On behalf on Mr MW74, does anyone know when the music dept will be moving into the warehouse. Every weekend he has totted off down the road in anticipation, only to come home rather dejected that nothing seems to be in yet. This in turn means he is under my feet and I have to send him away to the pub for a few hours! Any info would be greatly appreciated.

sex with ex who has no present partner.....good thing. It can show you you've moved on when you get the 'what the f*ck did i ever see in you really??' syndrome. sex with ex who has a new flame....bad bad bad. Too messy.... unless of course they'd be up for a threesome.....:))

You's be amazed by how mnay places still serve rubbish wine in the old style glasses that wouldn't be out of place in the Queen Vic! Many thanks -
oh for gods sake I've had a f*cking nuff of all this. Everything that's unique to ED is going in favour of yet more f*cking flats. The garden centre, the woodyard, the tyre shop....... yawn......more housing to keep the pointless purchases made on a Saturday afternoon from one of the pointless and soulless shops on LL, safe in.
-
okay so ran a search but came up with nothing...maybe I didn't do it correctly? Can someone let mw know what the new untis being done up on LL will be? 6 Lordship Lane (unit next to John Alan flowers) and the one next to White Stuff. What are they to be?
