If you mean the one outside the church going towards Peckham, it still had the closed sign on it this morning, but as there are no road works there, I'm sure some of the drivers will stop there on request. The stop outside the chippy coming from Peckham is closed as there are road works in front of it. The 4 way traffic lights are in operation.., causing a lot of congestion.

Still a large patch of grit clearly visible in the middle of the pool yesterday (Tuesday). On the plus side - the water was a lot warmer!

When I receive my new quote, if it is higher than last year, I ring the company and ask if they can review it. In the last couple of years, they have lowered the quote, although still a bit higher than the previous year. May be worth a try

We went the day after it reopened and there was a lot of grit on the steps into to pool. The water was lovely and warm, but a few days later it was really cold!

Which session? I have Silver swim booked for tomorrow and not cancelled as yet

I did respond, thanking them for their vigilance in monitoring the situation and explaining that the route was reinstated 11 days ago!!!😂

Received this response from TFL today (15 October) Thank you for contacting us on 1 October regarding the ongoing diversion of the P13 bus route between Rye Lane and Sainsbury’s, Dog Kennel Hill, since 29 September. You’re absolutely right that the diversion is due to Thames Water works in the area. While other traffic may appear to be flowing freely along Avondale Rise into Ivanhoe Road, our local Service Delivery Manager has confirmed that buses are unable to safely make the turn from Avondale Rise into Ivanhoe Road in either direction. This is due to the size and turning radius of the vehicles, which differs significantly from that of smaller vehicles. We understand that diversions can be inconvenient and appreciate your patience while this work is ongoing. We’re continuing to monitor the situation closely and will restore the usual route as soon as it is safe and operationally feasible to do so. Thanks again for contacting us. I had to go to the Marsden many years ago on a daily basis for several weeks. I found the 345 to be a perfect option, so much better than messing about changing on the tube. It gets a bit busy along the route if you have to go during school travel hours, but you get on an empty bus at Peckham, so get the choice of seats.

Yay!!! P13 running on its proper route this morning! No response from TFL as expected!

Thanks Spider69. I did contact TFL also, but had no response yet. Guessing buses will be running again before a response is forthcoming!

P13 still on diversion. No work has been done by Thames Water since Monday and the traffic is still flowing - apart from the bus, of course!!!

Same today (Tuesday) . The repairs were done last night and there is no-one working there this morning. Don't really know why the buses are diverted as the road is still open to traffic and there is only a very small area being worked on.

The P13 bus is currently on diversion between Peckham and Dulwich Sainsburys via Rye Lane/Peckham Rye in both directions due to a water main repair at the top of Avondale Rise

Hopefully, they won't wash the changing room mats poolside in future so the filters won't be overworked keeping the water clean!!!

Might be an idea to report it to the police if you think the powder to be 'suspect' rather than throw it in the bin.

Not sure where you live, but 42 (from Dulwich Sainsburys) or 78 (from Peckham) go to Tower Bridge. Bit of a long winded journey, but gets you there.

If you are a resident in Southwark, Tower Hamlets or City of London, you can buy tickets for the Tower Bridge Experience for £1 each. There are lifts. I found it ok to navigate around as an older, less able person. You get entry to the Engine Room as well, which is very interesting. Best to book in advance as the queues can be long. Afterwards, a walk around St Katherine's dock is free and a pleasant experience. The (old) Queen's royal barge is currently berthed there and worth a look.

I know its a whinge, but it would have been good if the Bellenden event had been in one of the side roads - Coplestone or Choumert or even in the park, so that the P13 didn't have to be diverted via Peckham Rye.

Received this email today re the partial reopening of the pool. What I found a bit bizarre was the paragraph on 'pool hygiene', considering that on one of the last occasions I visited the pool, I witnessed a person, who later identified himself as the 'pool manager', dunking the changing room mats in the pool to rinse them after washing them poolside, leaving a deposit of grit etc on the pool steps. When I complained, he didn't think he'd done anything wrong. Maybe that's what messed up the pool filters!!! (No subject) (2).zip
