  9. Try Alex TLC in Peckham - usually pick up quite quickly. 020 7701 4388
  10. Poppies were on sale on the Customer Service counter in Sainsburys DKH yesterday
  11. Dulwich Village Preschool does half days. My grand-daughter went there (she is 13 now) and loved it
  12. Husband received a text message last week from GSTT to book a 3rd jab as opposed to a booster. He has recently had a long course of radiotherapy at Guys. He went this morning to the walk in at Guys and had Pfizer - he had Astra Zeneca for first 2. He was advised he should have a booster in 6 months.
  13. My son's mother in law had Astra Zeneca for first 2 jabs with no side effects. She had Pfizer booster yesterday and today has a very puffy face and feels flushed. Apparently, this is a known side effect.
  14. Alex TLC in Peckham will collect - 020 7701 4388
  15. Richard Tudor - yes, I understand that its not running its original route. About 6 months after the route changed, this was showing on the bus apps ie. via Harris Academy, but this changed back again about 3 weeks ago, leading me to believe that the route was changing via Rye Lane again, but as yet it hasn't.
  16. What date is Rye Lane reopening to buses? Bus apps have been showing the P13 running along its original route via Rye Lane, for several weeks now, resulting in the bus 'disappearing' between Peckham bus station and Avondale Rise.
  17. Our practice - Camberwell Green - you have to phone between 8-10am. The receptionist will ask why you are calling and will then book a call back from a GP/nurse, who will again ask why you are calling and if they deem it necessary will book a face to face appointment with a GP/nurse. If they don't deem it necessary to see you (which they usually don't), they will deal with you over the phone. If you have a visual ailment, they will ask you to send a photo and diagnose from that. Since the first lockdown, when they locked their doors to walk in visitors and didn't open them until a couple of months ago, I have not once been offered a face to face consult. I have been with the same practice for over 50 years and have seen it deteriorate from a family doctors to a poor excuse for a GP practice and am seriously considering moving to another practice, but on reading other peoples' experiences, there don't seem to be any better practices in the area.
  18. Just a heads up to ignore the bus apps that show that the P13 has reverted back to its original route through Peckham. It most certainly hasn't, even though some of the bus stops - in Hanover Park and Blenheim Grove have been uncovered.
  19. Bodsier - not the easiest thing to do - sit in isolation on a peak time train! We were just happy to be able to get a seat. Thankfully, treatment is finished now, so no more early morning journeys. I feel sorry for those who have to travel on peak time trains all the time.
  20. I found a ring by the bus stop opposite Queens Road station last Thursday. If you think its yours, message me a description.
  21. My grandson was turned away from King's walk-in a few weeks back as he didn't have an appt. Funnily enough, he then went to Tessa Jowell and got it done there!
  22. Great start to the new timetable. At least 2 of the 'extra' trains were cancelled along with some others this morning. Others delayed.
  23. This is good. I have noticed when travelling to Guy's hospital daily with my husband that the trains are getting more crowded. This is usually between 7.30am - 9am. Also, there are many passengers who still feel 'entitled' to use the adjacent seat for their bags, which leads to more people standing around the doors when seats are actually available. I have had to ask almost daily for someone to move their bag so that I can sit down. This is usually met with a 'look' before the bag is grudgingly moved. I would add though, that most passengers are wearing masks on the trains, whereas on buses, quite a few passengers don't. Just an observation as I don't know the personal circumstances of fellow passengers.
  24. Have you tried Dulwich Village Pre-school? They used to do half days when my grandaughter went there, but was a few years ago. A lovely nursery. https://www.dulwichvillagepreschool.co.uk/
  25. Got the 8.23am train from East Dulwich this morning. It was pretty crowded with several standing, as it seems that some people are reluctant to sit right next to someone else. We did manage to get seats. Good to see that most passengers were wearing masks.
