Presumably a fairly short lived career (depends on the no. of kids I guess!) Cool job tho... Part of my job is wear trials (shoes) it's a bit I LOVE, makes me v popular as I give them out too! Anyway that's all off topic.... Funky looking mikralite.. You got pics of the others??
  2. I really rate hot milk for comfort. I've got a couple from pretty pregnant & they seem to have bigger sizes too
  3. Ohhh I was thinking of swimming as our lesson was cancelled & baby f is less than happy about being shleped about places like ikea (Hmmmm!) & coffee shops this week. He wants to be out & flapping.... I'll confirm tomorrow if that's ok xx
  4. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,408511,page=1 Here is an old thread with the number to call. I became a donor recently. I called & left a message & they called me back the next day then we arranged a blood test but in the meantime they had sent me some bottles. I filled up all the bottles so someone came over & collected it all up. So it's very easy (presuming you are already pumping)
  5. I have no opninon on the bee but we went for a chameleon as it looked like a longer term buggy to me.... we used the carry cot as a travel cot whilst baby f was little and that was really useful to have something comfortable that he knew to take with us and made going away really easy... he now loves the seat and sleeps really well when reclined and loves being upright in it when awake! It is bigger than the bee but I still get on and off of busses easily and do it a lot. I also think it will work well with a buggy board on when no 2 comes along (ha ha!!) oh and we got ours 2nd hand on the forum (where else!) so got a bargain and it's in fab condition so a v good purchase me thinks!
  6. Hi kitty, you mean tomorrow (15th) right? I was in warwick gdns today & the wooden circle was fenced off as they are installing the new play Equiptment... So will the playgroup be somewhere else??
  7. I can't do wed but was hoping to make the Warwick gardens playgroup on thurs pm if anyone else is about?
  8. Just resuscitating this after a funny bath time where the phrases 'no, get you face out of the sh*t darling' (LO span round so fast his nappy was still on the mat) and 'ohhh mummy doesn't really like being wee-ed on' (as LO stands naked on me to be able to peer over side of bath to watch the water fill) were used much to both our amusement!
  9. I'm planning a trip but not until later in sept if that's any good to you?
  10. Alice actually makes you the tea & hands you a choc biscuit... & yes there are toys & mats, a bargain!
  11. that makes sense Jenny as actually the plastic back is on the old chair as well... (yours looks the same as mine & mine is an 'Old style') so the only 'new' bit is the front plastic bit and if your chair fits both the plastic bit and the wooden bar and leather strap combo then in theory yes.... the attachments must still be the same... Plus you might get a 2nd hand 'new' style a la Jenny...
  12. Defo, shall we try the bread of life cafe? Which end of Barry rd is it? Looking forward to seeing you all later
  13. Well there is an idea... Anyone fancy opening a cafe with soft play... you will do really well round here! I know what you mean tho mm... I find playdates easier at home or at others homes but sometimes it's nice to have someone else make the drinks & bring you cake I did go to bumps & babes in red post hill last fri & that's great but only once a week!
  14. anyone else feeling less ambitious re the park on Thurs? I noticed today the gardens cafe has a bit mat out the back... perfect for the smallies and the room is big so good for toddlers to run about in too? or Green & Blues sofa area... Or were you saying somewhere Yak that is good for rolling space??
  15. http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2010/aug/09/barefoot-best-for-children An interesting article here
  16. we can do then too... where is best, all welcome here (with toddlers too) but we are easy to meet out.... but places with rolling space means we get more than 30 mins!
  17. I haven't read the book but felt the film was just a bit lame.... totally lacking well, something / everything. I wasn't at all shocked or cared when 'you know what' happened and that's a bit rubbish if you just don't care when something like that happens to a lead charater... sadly just a bit bland.... and it felt very rushed, I guess some films just don't work as books. And yes Anne Hathaway's accent is truly irritating it is sooo bad!
  18. I'd third it, I was given mine very kindly by a friend and it's amazing, I Didn't know anything at all about pumps but really rate it, it's so quick, I've lend mine to a few friends, including yak & they have all been impressed with how quick it is.... Pumping is such a faff anyway last thing I'd want is for it take ages too. I pump about the same as yak & it takes me 10 mins in the am & 10 mins in the eve. I only ever use it singly but that is fine too...& yes spares are cheap & easy to get which is good when your baby kicks it off the bed!
  19. Oh what time is this on? Thanks
  20. I brought things In Primark but didn't use any of it & gave birth in a bra... Certainly wouldn't spend money on anything again, you will never use it afterwards
  21. there is a fara shop in clapham that is specifically baby stuff they might take it.. or post it for free in the classifieds section?
  22. yep it will be about the seatbelt thing. we just went on Ryanair and I BF baby f on take off and landing both times.... what are they going to do! oh and you can still bf with the strap on anyway!
  23. if anyone fancies it yak and i are going to the horniman aquarium today at 3pm, feel free to join us. Also how about a meet up next week? Thursday is good for me and I'm happy to meet out or host if we want rolling space.... toddlers welcome too....
  24. Ok so I've got a venue & have emailed the guy, we will see if he has a weekend available but may well organise a couple of sessions to meet demand... so I'll post again when I hear from him
