  1. Great choice....lots around in local parks
  2. Mini schnauzer or mini labradoodle- both are ?allergy friendly ?.easy to train good family dogs, portable in that you can pick them up and carry them understand your arm. Other breed is Border Terrier. Downside t mini Schnauzer is they need to be clipped every 6/8 weeks.
  3. Agree with tomskip...name & shame PM me and I may be able to help
  4. Francis Peak Building in Dulwich Park - no idea as to costs. 0207 708 2806. There was a school locally that advertised rooms on EDF not should which section.
  5. I am with EE and am having problems. Just spoken to them again re drop out and was told they have 11 frequency settings they can try. Never get a straight answer from the different operators but have insisted that it is all detailed on computer so I don't have to go through the whole thing again. Yesterday operator said was to do with BT line that they share...!! Thanks for mention of femtocell might ask for one of those next call or maybe even a booster. Not sure if I left them, the service would be any better so will continue for a bit.
  6. Thanks for all your advice
  7. Hi there, Currently have an older VW Golf and am thinking about an electric car or perhaps a hybrid in view of changing laws. Does anyone have any advice they could offer? One of my major concerns is the lack of places to charge up - know there are places locally but was thinking further a field and also how many miles you get on one charge? VW that I am thinking about says roughly 200 miles. Also any pit falls that I have not considered? Thks in advance.
  8. I have recently moved into the area and quite surprised that my post including things ordered before Christmas has not turned up. The best has got to be a Christmas Card posted on 15/12/2017 that turned up this week - I hasten to add all correctly addressed. More worryingly, a white card which apparently only used before Christmas also turned up this week which was my diploma when I went to sorting office. Is this normal? Clearly yes as when Zi was queuing heard about parcels not arriving and more worryingly staff not being able to locate parcel and no explanation. Have informed post office and for those of you who are interested, this seems to havebeen a re accruing problem in Dulwich in general according to Dulwich Society Newletter. In future will pay for courtier service....
  9. I am with EE and can recommend them - not the super fast just basic which works for me. Not on TV package 'cause I don't need it. Was with Virgin years ago and would never touch them again or Sky. Very happy with EE and with several moves over the last few years they have been reliable and consistent. paying ?20 per month.
  10. And me - the woffers are going to love it as are many waking groups. Tks
  11. Having lived in Herne Hill before the noon-2pm was imposed, makes a huge difference as people can now park in the street at any time of the day. Clearly car commenters who just parked when it was free and then hopped on train had to go or find alternatives. Think it was greT and would gladly pay to have it in various streets in ED - HH being in Lamveth think the charge imposed was higher that central London - totally unfair but that is Lambeth for you
  12. No water in Barry road.. Pressure been dropping all week.. We pay for water.. Or lack of it.. Surely they must have learnt after Herne Hill?? Clearly not..
  13. All Saints Church in West Dulwich are doing various things - check their website
  14. Don?tsuppose the pendant is half gold, half silver with stones?
  15. Gosh, you ladies must have so much time on your hands.. Go back to Delia Smith..unless you are to young to remember.. Easy peasy, and if you have a slow cooker all done and dusted.. Beef Bougonion, chuck it all in.. And enjoy... Green salad and garlic bread.. Yummy
  16. I have used them in the past and had no problem at all from a tenat's view. No different from renting privately. Provided you have an inventory at the start which is signed and agreed by both parties - no problem. With regard to the deposit, you need to put it into a separate account and confirm to the tenant that this has been done - there is information about this on the website and both parties are protected. You could also place an ad in the newsagent in Dulwich Village. Hope this helps As mentioned on forum website, by law it is Landlord's responsibility to have proof of residency etc for Uk.
  17. Hi, Visiting relations and looking for somewhere to stay, does not have to be in Ferndown but say with 10 miles. Thanks
  18. Being all electric like you, I put in Hyco electric heaters on wall. Very efficient and you can pre program.
  19. Julia my trainer could help you on a one to one basis. Highly recommend her and he also does a group on Wed am in Dulwich Park. PM me if you want more info.
  20. Have you tried the local churches - they usually have halls to hire. St Fsith's have a beautiful room.
  21. Hi, Can anyone recommend a company that they have used? Thanks
  22. Hi, Is there anywhere one can go for a couple of weeks? Or can anyone recommend someone who would come and help, shop, clean etc Or what did you find the most difficult? Thanks in advance
  23. Hi, I have recently moved into an all electric flat - not huge at all and currently has economy 7 heating. It and I are not getting along so I am looking at alternatives and panel radiators seem to be the answer. Does anyone have advice? Gas is not an alternative.!! Sadly. Really trying to stay warm and be in a position to use heating when I want - I rent so would to convince my landlords/agent. I am assuming that if panel radiators were an option then one would loose eceonomy 7 rates? No dish washer or washing machine to consider. Thanks all
