  1. Francis Peak Centre in Dulwich Park. Has sink and toilet facilities and can open doors out to grassy area - make as much noise as you want in room in building. Well, prob not free parking on site!
  2. Hi, Friend coming over from across the pond..anyone like to comment about rooms in Greyhound - have been told noisy, lack of service, but was a couple of months ago. Update would be grear. Senior citizen, just needs a double bed and en suite bath locally - Village or ED? PM me.. Prob June time for a few nights, then off on visiting and back. Prices as well - no need for breakfast and no top of house either!
  3. If you are prepared to drive 5 minutes then supermarket in Rosendalr Riad - just in parade of shops after Rosendale Pub does all organic Meat - certainly very good quality and the butchers all know alot. The butcher in village is a coulle of doors down from Hane Newby or roughly whete newsagent used to be - upu can't drive thru village at moment but can park and walk - water probs.
  4. Hi Folks, They have opened today - very helpful bunch of staff.
  5. Was in Bromley earlier this week and much to my surprise and delight Ikea has opened up a small shop on two levels - ground floor kitchen and think first floor bedroom. That is all nothing else - ie all the other bits and bobs they sell. Been open for two weeks according to gal in shop. I am not that good in Bromley but as a guide a couple of doors down from Primark on same side as theatre.
  6. Try Patrick at Romeo Jones in village
  7. Are you planning to pay anything towards it - petrol? Or r u expecting it to be a freebie?
  8. Use to be a chess club at Carneigie Library
  9. Would think dog walkers in park are best avenue for you plus, if you have time contact park officials and put some posters up
  10. Would it not have been better to take photos of dogs?
  11. What concerned me, was sitting test again and insurance not being valid. Anyway as no one knows if/when we are leaving prefer to pay and know I am legal. Website www.gov.uk/guidance/international-driving permits- for- uk- driverrs- from- 28-march-2019
  12. Just paid ?5.50 for privilige of going to France, driving - lasts for 3 years.. Add Spain... More money!! Wish, I had known before...wld have renewed my dv. I must be one of few peopke who did not know....
  13. I have in the past used Virgin and changed kast yeR from Talk Talk - service was very patchy, customer service bassed abroad with communication problems. I actually broke my contract with them since services was unreliable for months but had the forsight to communicate via mail so when threatened with paying balance coukd send all correspondence to them and they admitted they were at faukr. Have been with EE and currently with Plusnet with no problems.
  14. ?18.00??? You are well out of touch! Happy to work at those rates
  15. Herne Hill Market on a Sunday is great - pity one caan't have something in ED. Veg box local greens in Herne Hill then there is Abel and Cole and Riverford - latter use not to be as flexible and if all else fails, or not your bag, peckham and Brixton Markets. We really are spoilt for choice..
  16. Yes it does - was on bus lunchtime to day & going to last till Tuesday - goes down Barry Rd, then bears left and then into Underhill. Wasn't going that far so not interested. Grateful was going down Barry. Hope that helps. Other way ie towards south circular, think driver said going up Barry Rd from Underhill but again not sure - best to check but driver does tell people who board bus is on diversion and where it is going. Helpful.
  17. You could call London Animal Hospital in Camberwell 24/7
  18. Thanks for posting... Are you talking about Sainsbury in Dog Kennel Hill? assume so. Really are some very sick b...... around. And no doubt police to busy to do much and underfunded just like the local parks so down to individuals to post and keep eyes open. Please do update on this sight id poss - not everyone uses Facebook or Twitter.
  19. Heard last night that three dogs have died from poisoning in Brockwell Park and others are ill. Police have been informed. Apparently in meadow area by Lido - been asked to spread the word.
  20. Just a quick heads up - received a mail earlier this week that not only messed my computer up but turned out to be scam so, don't open and just delete. Looked genuine but such is life!
  21. If you go to either Hyde Park or Kensington Gardens one has to pay. Ruskin Park and Brockwell Park also have to pay - in Ruskin it is linked to resident parking so have to pay between noon - 2pm. Anyway, councils are strapped for cash so if one wants to enjoy the park and drive one pays - most people can cycle, walk, take a bus! And do what a good number do now - park on nearby roads which is free. Mothers who have children activities in Francis Peake Building will have to pay or park further away and walk/ carry babies and toddlers. About time people stop taking things for granted. I wonder what happens to community groups? Do they have a different rate? Free or Pay? One assumes that there will be notices in carparks about this. Agree with Asset.
