  2. You could check whether the lovely Laura does family classes but she does do separate child and adult classes, and does yoga holiday clubs. https://www.laurasyogaclub.co.uk/
  3. A bit further away there are two Asian supermarkets at the Elephant & Castle end of the Walworth Road, almost opposite one another. There's also a Korean food store opposite the Old Vic.
  4. Oh goodness, such a lovely man. Wishing him and his family all the best and the staff who will lose their jobs. We shall certainly miss Tandoori Nights, an ED stalwart - particularly since coming back from the fire that affected them a few years ago. Thanks for posting.

  6. Hello Joe Superb work in taking this over and thank you as such a great local resource. How do you reset new posts? On the old forum you could click 'reset new posts' (I think that was the name of it) and it would mark all posts as read so so you would know which posts are new when you next log in. Thank you again and good luck in your new role. SW
  7. Best money we've ever spent! Our daughter absolutely refused to sleep through the night or to sleep in her cot during the day - would only sleep if I was pushing her in her pram so would spend hours each day walking (I have never been so skinny as when I was on maternity leave!). Katie helped us when our daughter was 9 months old, it took two nights and daughter who is now 6 years old has slept through the night ever since. https://www.katiefischersleepconsultant.co.uk/
  8. Pro Beauty on Hindmans Road was great when I had my ears pierced recently, following recommendations from others on here. Lady was lovely, calm and reassuring and gave great aftercare advice. http://www.probeautyclinic.co.uk/
  9. Oh my goodness, so sad to hear. Thank you for letting us know Lucymerc. He is certainly missed. RIP Len.
  10. Hi all Just wondering if anyone knows if Len, the lollipop man at the Goodrich Road/Barry Road junction, is ok? He hasn't been there for a while and we miss seeing his cheery face on the school run. Thank you!
  11. Thanks march46, yes looks close to being finished.
  12. Does anyone know what the old betting shop (I think) next to Winkworth and sort of opposite M&S on Lordship Lane is going to be? Looks like quite a big restaurant of some sort. I'm intrigued!
  13. Ah, super interesting. Thank you DulwichFox.
  14. Where was Austins/what has it been replaced with? Sounds like it's a shame it has gone.
  15. No personal experience but GP friends recommend these three: https://www.drannachapman.com/ https://www.chelwest.nhs.uk/professionals/find-a-consultant/dr-claire-fuller https://www.guysandstthomas.nhs.uk/our-services/consultant-profiles/dermatology/rachael-morris-jones.aspx Good luck in your search.

  17. Depends which brand the surgery has ordered. If Seqirus delivery is delayed due to HGV driver shortage. https://www.pulsetoday.co.uk/news/clinical-areas/immunology-and-vaccines/gps-forced-to-cancel-flu-vaccine-appointments-due-to-delivery-delays/
  18. Completely agree with Andypops18 - really lovely staff, great admin and super flexible - and most importantly, happy children! Details on page 3 of this document from the Southwark Council website: https://www.southwark.gov.uk/assets/attach/9206/Camberwell-Dulwich-After-school-clubs-Sept-2020-.pdf.
  19. We've used this chap before who is fantastic with animals. We have a long-haired cat too who gets matted (as he won't let us brush him) and cat grooming is definitely a thing! https://www.theloyaltygroomers.co.uk/cat-grooming-1

Vaccine > fear-mongering? Downplaying the death toll? What > next? Exactly fishbiscuits. Both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccines in the UK are under a temporary licence from MHRA as an emergency measure to get them into circulation, so not sure why vegancow focuses on the US when the UK has similar measures. From the BMJ: Why was the vaccine given temporary authorisation? Usually, the UK would wait for the European Medicines Agency to approve a vaccine before looking to distribute it, but in an emergency EU countries are allowed to use their own regulator to issue temporary authorisation. In October the government made changes to the Human Medicines Regulations 2012 to allow the MHRA to grant temporary authorisation of a covid-19 vaccine without needing to wait for the EMA.2 A temporary use authorisation is valid for one year only and requires the pharmaceutical companies to complete specific obligations, such as ongoing or new studies, says the law firm Brodies.3 Once comprehensive data on the product have been obtained, standard marketing authorisation can be granted. This initially lasts five years but can be renewed and is not subject to specific obligations. https://www.bmj.com/content/371/bmj.m4759
  21. Hi Medusa. Congratulations and sorry to hear that your baby may need surgery. I gave birth at King's so have no personal experience of St. Thomas' (but know people who have without complaint) but I would strongly consider St. Thomas' if there is a possibility that your baby could be sick as it is located right next door to the excellent Evelina childrens' hospital so proximity for the possibility of having to move your baby is something to take into consideration. I wish you all the best.
  22. I think you mean Edy and Bridge: https://www.edyandbridge.com/ - hope I've got the right one and you find lots of great stuff.
