  2. Hello all Was in Londis on the corner of North Cross Road tonight at about 22:15 where a young white lad of about 20 was on the phone to police saying that he had been attacked by a gang on Whateley Road just previously (which is where I live so that was a scary walk home I can tell you!). I did not hear a description of the gang and the only reason why I give a basic description of the guy that was attacked is that there may be a pattern in the type of person the gang go for. Really don't mean to scare anyone but just wanted to make sure everyone is extra vigilant on their journeys around ED. Sorry to hear of your horrible experience mlewis and hope you and your boyfriend are ok.
  3. Definitely Sema's on Underhill Road.
  4. It's brilliant - go and see it, you won't be disappointed!
  5. So northlonder thinks it is offensive to call someone black but yet it's ok to describe people as big, rough, viscious dogs?! http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,227050,227747#msg-227747
  6. Hello all Just wondering if anyone knows what happened at East Dulwich train station tonight? Went past on the P13 and there were two fire engines and numerous firemen. Hope no one was hurt.
  7. Ok will dex and TillieTrotter, I give in - I certainly do miss The Angel, The Mayflower and Bermondsey Wall East, there certainly are good things about Bermondsey (and lovely Rotherhithe), it's just I've turned into an East Dulwichite now and nothing seems to be able to live up to it! Bermondsey Wall East is a beauty though - fantastic walk along the river with some great buildings. PS The eel fishing completely passed me by - or was that what all those guys were up to at Surrey Quays?
  8. I used to live in Bermondsey, two minutes from Castello and it took us a year to manage to go - what a waste of a year, it's fantastic. Never had a pizza from there but the pasta dishes are superb. They do take away too - the only thing I miss about Bermondsey! It is always busy which says alot when you consider the area so you may want to book if you are thinking of going. We always used to get the same waiter who was a bit grumpy but if you can overlook this, the food is delicious.
