  1. Does anyone know if rescue places still look for foster homes for pregnant cats or cats with very new litters? All I can remember is that you must have a spare bedroom for the mum and litter.
  2. Yard Sale does have some seating but not as much as FM.
  3. I get hospital appts by text a lot now and also on the My Chart/Epic if your appts are at certain hospitals - Kings, Guys and Tommy’s and the Brompton.
  4. You could buy some cork floor tiles and use them. Either put them directly on the wall or use a piece of wood cut to size.
  5. Sue, One of the hairdressers who called me had spent a fair amount of time getting all his clients’ details from the database before he gave his notice and left. He wouldn’t have been able to do it afterwards.
  6. Usually if a hairdresser moves, they have a book with their clients’ contact details and they then let you know that they’ve moved so you can follow them if you want to. That’s happened to me several times in the past. One person had set up working from home and another changed salons. I’m happy that this thread has introduced more reasonably priced hairdressers to us all. With food and utilities costing a lot more, it could mean the difference between being able to afford a haircut or not. There is, without a doubt, some extremely odd and high pricing going on in this area, including the different pricing depending on length. The new place on Grove Vale is one that does that.
  7. 😳how bizarre
  8. I telephoned this salon too and their haircut prices are also extremely reasonable.
  9. That is useful to know. Maybe councillors could help.
  10. They need to be collected at night like in Westminster but doubt that will happen.
  11. Yes, that sounds right. Couldn’t remember the name!
  12. Thanks for posting. The two dogs pictured look like a Malinois and a Pointer. Hope someone recognises them and her.
  13. It was a council run centre right by Mozart Street. Very high glass ceilings over the pool. On Sundays, after swimming, we’d go to Golborne Rd for breakfast at one of the Portuguese cafes for breakfast.
  14. This reminds me of when I used to go to Marshall Street in W1 after work for swimming. I didn’t last long there as the lanes were very overcrowded with other swimmers up against your feet and having to drop back/slow down for someone in front of you unless you wanted a kick in the face. There used to be a fantastic pool in W9 (close to where I used to live) and I’d try to go in the evening, about an hour before closing time or early on Sunday to have a swim and it was delightfully empty. Every friend I took to this pool loved it. I’m sure the times I went there also made the experience better. I don’t think this pool exists anymore.
  15. Hello, was wondering if you managed to find a dog suitable for your family?
  16. Anyone know if they deliver?
  17. I’m happy to report that I got a much earlier prescription review than the 22 September. Not sure what that was down to but I was sent a text to say to expect a telephone call on a certain day and time for earlier this week. It was with a pharmacist and not a doctor. I was later told to expect a telephone call on call on both the 19 and 23 September. They are really pushing the boat out. Not complaining. Also, Dr. Shivji is back working.
  18. Walking to Herne Hill from central East Dulwich (Sue has said she lives off Northcross Road) with a trolley full of books would be very laborious.
  19. I clicked on this link and found it no longer exists and has been decommissioned.
  20. Thanks so much for the information. I called Adam and he sounds extremely lovely and I asked what his hair cut prices are. They too sound extremely lovely if you are on a budget and are more than fifty percent cheaper than the places quoted on this thread.
  21. What is the name of his business/salon?
  22. I’ve been there a few times in the past. It’s shocking to me that a woman’s haircut is £20 more than a man’s - £40 vs £60.
  23. What are the measurements?
  24. Ten years later - How much is the daily rate please?
