The sub-?50 option, the 7", would > really be too small for most kids parties I think. Obviously depends on how many people are invited. But there?s usually a lot of other food available that they fill up on first. I think a sheet cake works well for parties, only one part to frost, more space to put decoration. You don?t have to remove the cake from the tin. Pieces can be cut large or small and eaten with the hands.

Not sure why a local > baker would necessarily be cheaper. If by large cake you mean a wedding cake with tiers, then yes. But their regular layer cakes in different flavours are less than fifty pounds.
  3. I prefer the New Cross Sainsbury, but it closes at 10 pm.
  4. Why not ring round a few estate agents for views. No Flies has good recommendations.

Certain surgeries such as The Gardens and Forest Hill Road won?t take you if you are out of their catchment area. Both these surgeries recently made their areas smaller. Melbourne Grove has more than ?13k patients and can?t cope or retain GPs. They are also responsible for the new surgery at Dulwich Hospital.
  6. Everyone should leave reviews of their Surgery on the NHS Choices website. I discovered this service a few years ago. You can read other reviews that have been left.
  7. I think the dentist next to the post office is taking patients. Dr. Matin (female)is very nice and gentle. Their fillings are guaranteed for one year, so if they break within that time it doesn?t cost anymore. She is on the ground floor. There might be one step, I can?t remember,
  8. Hi, Sorry to hear this. What kind of locks and door did you have? I?ve been burgled once and they kicked the bottom half of a panelled door out but the locks held. I replaced the door with a solid heavy door that had to be made because of the size of the frame. I had the lower ground floor of a house.
  9. Have tried calling them numerous times this morning and no answer. Anyone know if the boiler is fixed?
  10. Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I don't know, but you can phone them to find out > on 020 8693 1833 :) Thanks. I just called and there?s no hot water anywhere,🥶. They said they are hoping to get it fixed tonight.
  11. Does anyone know if the showers are still working? Hopefully it?s a separate boiler.
  12. Not upmarket byt I really like the vanilla ice cream at Lidl. They also have other flavours.
  13. I?ve only ever used Ocado. After the first year of free deliveries you then have to pay. Their minimum order for free delivery is ?40. If you recommend a friend, as above, and they place their first order then you get the ?20 voucher for your next deliver, but not sure if you have to spend the minimum ?80 as the friend does, but I would hope not.
  14. Still for sale more than two year?s later is *interesting*.
  15. So cute. That breed are real characters.

Take your mum to the French Cafe in forest hill road after a walk. The owner is lovely. I don?t think they have gone cashless.
  17. Animal rescue places like Celia Hammond will take towels.
  18. I have post for her, it?s come to my address by mistake. Does anyone know her address? If so, please PM me.

  20. Looking for some recs please, to use for both, wireless I presume.... Thanks.
  21. Likely to be put out for foxes. Someone near me puts ripped up bread out on road near kerb.
  22. Leave dogs outside or carry them? For what reason? Blackheath FM allows dogs, so does Brockley.
  23. Cabbage lasts a long time in the fridge. I slice thinly, Love it cooked in no additional water after washing, with a bit of butter and salt with the lid on pan. Shake to prevent sticking, takes only a few minutes. Can put together a quick slaw, with grated carrots, apples and walnuts. I also keep frozen spinach and peas hand to add to soups, peas added to risotto. Try baking whole peeled onions with cumin.
