  1. It's people like this that give parents a bad name.
  2. LL has a fantastic array of world cuisine. We're actually really lucky. Maybe a bit saturated....but not complaining - I love it. I did like the SeaCow very much - the staff were always lovely and it's a pity that the increase of rent does deprive us. If the same is going to happen to the other restaurants, then it may well be that we see the clsure of more nad the replacement by chains. Look out for Cafe Rouge, Pizza Express and so on. I really would rather this did not happen, but who has influecnce over landlords? If they can get an increase, then they will.
  3. Brockwell Park has an annual event - the Country Show which also has a stage and bands - perhaps something free for everyone would be better. The idea of having to buy a ticket to enjoy an event on your local park is becoming too normal that it is acceptable. I disagree - while it does allow crowd control, this is not what it's all about at all - it's about making money. It shouldn't be - it should be about the community and covering costs at the most.
  4. yet to bump into Jason Statham.....but keep wishing
  5. you could get him a brother. They are very strong pack animals.
  6. I would have loved to come, but we had other things planned. It's really important and very special that the community do something that anyone can come along to. I know some people who have been on their own this Christmas and New Year. I wish they'd realised how welcome they would have been. Happy New Year ED!
  7. Sounds brilliant!
  8. go out in the car in the daytime and check the views out.
  9. I preferred the Sea Cow to Franco Manca (personally).
  10. Namco on the south bank (bowling, bumper cars and other games) does a NY event and tickets are ?15. This includes a pass to the river fireworks and they still had some tickets for sale.
  11. maybe, but coupled with the number of posts about burglaries it could be more.
  12. kids playing pranks? did you get their number? (land line has this facility)
  13. it is the council's responsibility for the pavements to be safe. I would inform James Barber - if this has been reported before and not fixed, I would hope he would be able to advise. You may be due compensation. I hope you're feeling better today.
  14. Karinoushka - hope all goes well..... an invite next time may be a good solution! It is all about coexisting - but also being respectful
  15. three to five times a year isn't bad. You could always have a chat with them....perhaps they could let you know in advance and you could agree on what is reasonable. Other people are often annoying by our own standards....
  16. no cctv in cost cutter?
  17. too many charity shops? are you sure? I think there may be too many bars / restaurants
  18. I completely agree with Lady Muck. I quite liked the shop - and if it's "buy-to-resell" model raised money for Charity then that's admirable. It is a pity it's gone. While there are places that will buy to resell, they keep the profit.
  19. This is a great thread :-) Thanks for posting your photos, Krigh and Alec I love them
  20. waited half an hour this morning nad was late for school :-( (although was on same bus as teacher!) Does anyone know when normal service will resume?
  21. I feel for you... I'm a complete lightweight when it comes to sleep deprivation. Maybe listen to music through the headphones and shut it out...
  22. hahah. Maybe the parents went to watch the rugby and left them alone.....
