We went through Pest control at Southwark Council, which was excellent service. -

Our lovely cat, Philip, a very large grey tortoiseshell tom has been missing since 5am Friday 11th November. He went out the front door and not been seen since. Please call Sophie on 07917 126233 or PM us if you see him. Our house backs onto the cemetery and we assume it's hard for him to find his way back. Thank you.

Family ski resort recommendations please
AuntieS replied to Undiscovered's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We went with Ski Famille to Les Gets with a two year old and 9 month year old. We stayed in a chalet and they both went into the onsite nursery. Highly recommend as nannies were lovely. We went in March. Other families in the chalet had 4 yr olds who all went out skiing. -
How to get to London Zoo?
AuntieS replied to Dulwich Born And Bred's topic in The Family Room Discussion
At the weekend you can find some free parking spaces near London Bridge, or train to London Bridge. Then get river boat to Embankment and then tube to Camden and walk. This has been the best option we've had for baby, toddler and parents and great fun. Time wise, we caught river boat at 10.30 ish and left zoo at about 3.15 which meant home easily for tea. -
Hi I can really recommend a book called "The Red Beast". Though written for children with Asperger's it's pretty generic. Good graphics and I've used it with children/ young people all ages.

Hello I'm interested in people's advice on moving a 4 month year old from breast to bottle. We tried hard when older child was a baby but without success. There's lots practical help/'direction' on starting breastfeeding but it seems your left on your own to stop. Any thoughts.. Is there a wonderful 'mama'/mary poppins out there who can help

We have the Sport for baby and toddler. I find it really heavy and cumbersome though. The cocoon as mentioned by someone above is fantastic though as baby slept in it so easily (both when in the buggy and in the house).

Settling 1 year old at bed time....
AuntieS replied to minimac's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi- hope it's alleviated a little. We had this last month for two plus weeks. It was horrid. I thought it was separation anxiety, but now not totally sure. We each ended up altering the routine slightly - I added a small snack just at bedtime, and his dad gave him something that lights up to play with in his cot. We take turns doing the bedtimes routine and have slight differences anyway. Not sure which made a difference but both seemed to work. For now! Taken way little snack and he's having more water before he gets into bed now. -
Travelling to N.Wales, which route with a toddler?
AuntieS replied to Fragolina's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We travelled Chelsea Embankment, M40, M6 toll road up to Runcorn and along M56. Like you with a toddler and pregnant. All easy peasy till last leg where there were road works. We didn't leave til about 11 and had a picnic lunch en route. We came back via Shrewsbury as had to make a drop off at the station. Shrewsbury was great for lunch and came back on M40 and then through Holborn. Again all fine till last half hour or so. Enjoy!
