  1. Asset, you given up? I was poo at it too and then got it: Keef said - Find your image on the web Right click image Select Properties highlight and copy image URL. Come back to the forum Click button next to the link one (little picture of the mountains) Paste image URL in to pop up box Slosh is your uncle!;-)
  2. The shirt tucking in underwear thing doesn't work so well when you wear the waistband of your bags on the hips rather than on the waist as is the fashion. Tried it. Got looks.
  3. Knowing how well-liked Estate Agents are on this forum, Sold is bound to become a firm favourite...
  4. And, with a couple of ingenious folds, said flag could double up as a re-usable shopping bag...
  5. Hi Will, I cycle from East Dulwich to Shortlands, in Bromley, three days out of five. Used to do it every day but now I run my little one to the childminder's twice a week. Journey (just over 5 miles) takes me abot 30 mins. I have been doing this for seven years in pretty much all weather - no wonder I feel so knackered! Thinking about it, had no serious incidents to report. Obviously had the odd jerk toot me for being "in the way". But largely it's been fine. Actually drivers often get a poor report from cyclists but I tend to think most road users are considerate and courteous - letting you pull out and not cutting you up. But of course it only takes one piece of b-a-d driving and I'd be bacon. citizen
  6. When England got beat by Croatia...
  7. The phrase Dead Man Walking springs to mind
  8. Just editing my previous post *ahem* "Before the Russia result (and then the Austrian one), we clocked up 5 3-0 victories. Being just this side of stupid, I'm boldly predicting England 3 - 0 Croatia" er, I meant Croatia 3 - 0 England
  9. Nice one Loz. all the best to Mrs Loz and bumbalina Loz. citizen
  10. Before the Russia result (and then the Austrian one), we clocked up 5 3-0 victories. Being just this side of stupid, I'm boldly predicting England 3 - 0 Croatia
  11. Basically, a flag of St. George means "keep out" and most other flags you see mean "welcome". It is all to do with the Empire and all that.
  12. Arsenal 3 Wigan 0 Birmingham 0 Portsmouth 0 Bolton 1 Man Utd 2 Derby 0 Chelsea 3 Everton 2 Sunderland 0 Man City 1 Reading 0 Middlesbrough 1 Aston Villa 2 Newcastle 2 Liverpool 1 Fulham 1 Blackburn 0 West Ham 2 Tottenham 2
  13. Title of thread changed to "I'm a Nonentity...." The Mock Administrator
  14. And there I was thinking it was a clever play on words; a production about the personal lives of some sub-editors, or life on a submarine, or even the day-to-day travails of life in a famous sandwich shop. Then I looked at the poster. Oh, my pure and innocent mind.
  15. And we'll be staying in more than we oughta
  16. It Baker's Dosen't help me. ;-)
  17. But Brendan, there should be a limit on the amount of time you should spend with people at Christmas. For their sakes!
  18. If I cleansed my face you could argue that I had changed my face. But you really would not say it.
  19. Wow, that was a bit from Left Field! Reminded me of that scene in Notting Hill where Hugh Grant stands up to defend Julia Roberts when some oiky businessmen are discussing her in an obscene manner. Thanks for the post Laura and many congratulations on the success of your business. Welcome to "the Strip". Sure your new shop will thrive. citizen
  20. was I drunk or just dazed
  21. We had LOW early on in this thread but I reckon this is better
  22. Great News! Here is a regular scenario. I remember that I have to take library books back. I search the house for them, pack them in a bag and trot down to the Library; that's when I remember it's Wednesday. No more!
  23. Perhaps he'll get the England gig.(tu)
  24. I have some sympathy for the residents of Zenoria street if things have not been all above board....but not that much sympathy because, as Mark said, you don't have to walk past any residences to get into the Warehouse and as has been pointed out Lordship Lane on a weekday is not as busy as some seem to assume - neither, for that matter, is it all that busy on a Sunday. Saturday on the Strip has ever been busy - residents on streets adjacent to the Strip just have to lump it I suppose. Someone recently moaned about Church services being noisey on a Sunday and spoiling a lay-in....hmmmmm. The thing we ought to be concerned about is whether the pressure on on-road parking caused by the Warehouse and other developments starts to make a Controlled Parking Zone a possibility.
  25. Jeremy, who is going anywhere with a "one size fits all" mentality? My post was deliberately provocative to point out that generally speaking, fit healthy guys are the ones behind the wheel when they don't need to be and vulnerable people are at the bus stop when they surely have more need to be in a car.
