There's a link on my post earlier on in the thread (previous page)
  2. It's too late after it's broadcast. C4 have been quite clear about what the content is, it's footage of the crash scene from immediately after the accident through the arrival of paramedics to the last attempts to resucitate Diana on the gurney in the back of the ambulance. It has been edited so that you can't actually 'see' Diana. You can see the rear or side of the paramedics as they work on her still conscious body as her life chokes away. It's a snuff video. The footage was taken by the sick bastards that spend their lives chasing people with cameras, and were chasing Diana on mopeds. Waddaya wanna do, watch kiddie porn because you can't object to what you haven't seen? It only represents a few minutes of the program, and it is the only bit to which I object. They are within their powers to edit it out.
  3. I wish they'd podcast it!
  4. Yes, I think it's that bad. If someone were to have taken pictures of my mum choking her last and then sell advertising off the back of it then I think we'd have a situation. Particularly if those shots were taken by the very people that indirectly led to her death. I think it's easy for Diana to become a caricature in our minds, and as such we dehumanise her. In allowing that we become less in ourselves. By broadcasting and viewing it we're saying it's okay.
  5. Not being prone to emotional outbursts I'm surprised at my revulsion to the idea that Channel 4 intends to transmit images of her death scene whilst she receives final treatment. To say she can't 'quite be seen' as a justification I find abhorrent in that it reduces her final moments to the level of a comedy gag in 'A Fish Called Wanda'. I've complained to Channel 4 here on their website as follows: "Any images of Diana's death scene whilst she receieves treatment at the point the images were taken is a despicable abuse of your mandate to provide content 'in the public interest' "The fact that you 'can't quite see her' is a playschool technicality that further demonstrates the gutter journalism from which this kind of editorial decision stems. "I'd ask you to remove these particular images in the strongest possible terms." If you agree with me please feel free to use this text to post your own complaint.
  6. Sorry Brendan, I didn't mean you guys, I mean the chaps at Drapers Blog
  7. I recognise where the guys are coming from - it's a sort of 'Platonic' dream Saturday Camden. I worked there for 7 years. During the week however it's a windblown sh*thole full of crackheads, needles and drive by shootings. Two people have been murdered outside our office there. I've been assaulted twice on the way to the tube, and it's unusual for a hoodie not to muscle you in a pathetic attempt to steal your wallet as you walk past. It's important not to fudge several issues together. Camden tube is clearly not up to its role, and is working so far over capacity it's dangerous. This needs redevelopment, and the Electric Ballroom is going to be the fall guy simply because you can't funnel 30,000 people a day through a 3m doorway. I do agree that the proposal is more Bluewater than Blue Funk though, and a more quirky approach to the building would be infintely more desirable. The stables market is a slightly different issue, half the units have been empty there for longer than I've worked there. If it worked already that wouldn't be the case - so that in itself demands development. But I do however think that the building thrown up near the railway line is a monstrosity. In both respects I think that campaigning to retain the status quo is redundant - our aim should be to find the balance which retains the areas charm.
  8. Hmmm, no I don't remember if Scott's do veggie very well - it's mainly fish so there's even only about 8 meaty dishes. I'm afraid it probably doesn't do much veggie :'(
  9. Ah, good one! That's all the chat as well, not made it yet, but it's gotta happen.
  10. Do you know, there isn't a Canadian in ED without a Forum card? Interesting Statistic. Also of course, Ralon do cards.
  11. James, v impressed by the Blueprint Cafe idea. Yes also to Andrew Edmunds, but it can feel cramped and a wee bit dingy even upstairs albeit in a romantic way. I'd say don't go at all if the table's downstairs. Wolsely yes but cheesy. Sort of swanky, but you can feel like a prole in a nobs place.
  12. Scotts in Mayfair. here. A bit of star spotting is essential to a girl's good night out. The food is exceptional, and the value p1$$es on Claridges. There's even seats at the bar if the going gets tough, and you'll still be impressed. Oysters are just kinda sexy.
  13. Ha! Excellent work! Made me laugh for 5 minutes :))

  22. Sadly the bar isn't open to the public yet as its a size thang. However, they tell me they've had so much interest that they're considering extending it and opening completely!
