  1. It's nearly 4 M now - how funny it was started by an out campaigner when they thought remain were winning. I've signed and most of my remain (UK voters) friends have now voted and one who voted out and regrets his vote. It is also funny how the out voters who 'won' are now getting flouncy about people like me having my democratic right to sign a petition and voice my opinion.
  2. Working Mummy - I was born before 1970. My Mum is 77 and voted remain too. Plenty of people in Boston Lincs under 35 voted out - see we do need to be a bit careful about generalisations. But yes unfortunately out vote more likely in the older generation who were also more likely to vote and remain vote more likely in the younger who unfortunately were less likely to vote.
  3. Foxy doesn't understand how Brussels and the EU works - once we had a powerful voice and a powerful veto vote in the EU that helped protect the UK from any trade deals that were not in the UKs best interest - if our UK negotiators were poor, then the deal was poor, not because the EU was 'bad' but because the UK representatives made a poor decision.... With no voice and no veto, decisions about how we can sell or buy from the EU will not be under our control. But to be fair to Foxy, just over 50% of the voting public in this EU referendum also didn't understand. Some now do and have changed their mind about voting out. I'm not sure Foxy really believes that today the UK is a better place to live and work for British citizens, Spanish nurses, German Doctors, children of migrant workers, Polish pensioners who flew British planes in WW2, people coming up to their retirement who have a private pension based on stocks and shares etc. etc. than it was last Sunday and probably much worse.
  4. This reported rise in hateful behaviour is extremely worrying. I spent my youth campaigning with anti-racist organisations and I am really concerned. There was a Tory MP on a special Question Time on Sunday, I'm not sure of her name, but she was speaking for remain - she said that she had been too quiet on the subject of race and immigration during her tenure as an MP so far, but from now on she would promote the benefits of immigration and different cultures for the UK. She was quite tearful and as a leftie listening to a Tory I was heartened by her comments. If the racists are on the rise, then all of us anti-racists need to challenge and act.
  5. Yea I know Blah blah, it is of course poor taste, but let's face it - anyone who brought up that awful murder as a 'decent' argument about why we shouldn't be 'whinging' is highly unlikely to listen to any alternatives to their own beliefs with an open mind.
  6. Yes good point - set a precedent for ignoring a popular vote
  7. That's ok Keano, taste is a very personal thing. I suppose I should have said that I found it distasteful, but you are completely within your rights to not think bringing up Jo's murder was in poor taste.
  8. Although I am excited about my new found freedom in a new and dynamic Britain...cool! When does the fun start?
  9. What a mess!
  10. In very poor taste Keano, very poor taste, but I support your democratic right to say it.
  11. I hoping that etta is right and people get involved in politics and push for reform. There are issues with PR, but at least everyone has a vote that does count.
  12. I'll 'whinge' as much as I want to thanks and apart from Trump and Le Pen..... Who is in awe of the stupid out vote based on lies.
  13. We export veg to the EU - Hence Lincolnshire farrmer crying on 'independence Day'. Petrol prices will increase due to sterling/ dollar exchange rate. British sparkling wine is great but it is around ?25 a bottle and as there will not be any EU pickers the price will rise due to extra labour costs - I still need a better upside. Try - London house prices will rise as Asian, Chinese and Russian entrepreneurs take advantage of the weak pound, but house prices in Wales, Cornwall and the North East plummet due to withdrawal of EU funds for new industry and Boris the new PM concentrating all,his energies to shore up the London market for his Tory donors and Etonian cronies.
  14. Pressure on infrastructure, volume of people....what people? Who? Azira? Portuguese nurses? German GPs, unemployed Welsh miners, who is putting pressure on infrastructure?
  15. Azira, this is exactly what us remain voters feared. Boris has used racist views to further his crappy little career and the Brexit voters have been played.
  16. Hey Siduhe, you do know a certain German Cancellor was legally elected democratically quite a few years ago.....
  17. Grayson Perry
  18. Or if Melbourne Grove voted out of ED😂
  19. Coffee prices will rise with a weak pound.
  20. I'm not apologising. Trust me, everyone in my Mum's village she has spoken to in Lincolnshire, who voted leave did so because they don't like foreigners - and that was the ONLY reason they voted leave. She is originally from London and voted remain. So yes - racists. I'm bored of the 'I'm not racist - but' and I'm not apologising for my opinion. Take a good old look at your motives for voting leave, it certainly was not on economic grounds.
  21. There was never, at no point, whatsoever, ANY plan from Vote Leave camp, which makes it even more ridiculous that anyone voted for leave. Stupid stupid stupid. Roast beef was great, Mr. HB ate a whole packet of veg sausages, ms. Bedford enjoyed the Yorkshires. We are now a bottle of gin and a bottle of wine or two down and despairing of the stupidity of ANYONE believing Boris and Farage - one sacked for being a liar and one an out and out racist.
  22. http://gu.com/p/4myj3?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other Yep - great.... Now the racists have been given permission to do this sort of thing. I'm now glad my Dad died in March and doesn't have to witness this appalling country. I wish I wasn't English.. But glad to be a Londoner. Go on tell me some more upsides.
  23. I know... I said I wasn't going to say anymore.. But drinking Cavalo Nero while poking around Mr. HB's bloody vegetarian sausages, glad to say that Iain Duncan twat-Smith has just said Boris your next PM is a liar.. Yea.
  24. Most of the people who voted out don't even know where Norway is. Right I'm moving on now, have a Sunday Roast (British Beef) to cook and wine (Italian, German and British Bubbles) to drink. F**k Brexit and all the idiot racists who voted for it... Now my tears have turned to anger.
  25. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=F1MVZYtX5Zg Welcome to the new Prime Minister as 'voted' in by the 51.9%. Let the eat cake!
