Good work, thanks :-) -
Yes but where can I vote?! Do I have to Go Lewisham town hall or SE1?!
-
REMAIN Anyway, where are people voting? All venues look awkward to get to via public transport to me.......

Outstanding thread! Spat my tea out at the point at which Artful got accused of...... I daren't even say it!! Perhaps there has been a misunderstanding about what dogging means Anyhow, people be courteous both on the pavements and on forums (and teach your children too) and then we can all be happy whether we are upper, middle or whatever class. And OP, maybe leave for work 5mins earlier so you aren't late for the train and grumpy! Pleeeeeease keep going with the ludicrous posts though (from all sides), it has really helped me out of a very dull day

Ooh, ooh, this is helpful! A close friend has just been diagnosed and has been prescribed something to help him with sickness and dizziness which has been partially helpful. Any other advice/ recommendations appreciated

Another chugging on Lordship Lane
binkylilyput replied to *Bob*'s topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Chuggers- people trying to earn a few quid while also collecting for charity Beggers- otherwise known as homeless people....i.e no roof over their head and certainly no car that won't start Interactions take up approximately 5 secs maximum of your time- they ask a question, you reply "no thank-you" We are responsible for our own behaviour, bad day or not Get over yourselves -
What Bob said.....only in a slightly less abrupt tone! I think you handled it just fine heartblock. This mummy wasn't going to listen to reason. Hopefully they won't be regulars at your regular restaurant!

DulwichFox trust me, I agree with you! I have no wish to peacefully co-exist with mice! I will keep persevering with the traps (of which I have multiple) but have had no success so far......hence my concern that said mouse/ mice are above average rodent intelligence! As for the smell of rotting mouse etc, yes, I have experienced this in a previous house. Perhaps not as dramatic as you describe, and no blue bottles flies. I don't care, as long as Mickey is no more
-
Would much rather the traps work but this mouse is like the next generation, genetically modified super mouse! He out smarts me every time. The scoffing of the poison seems to have slowed down......but I'm afraid of all this talk about immunity. Maybe he's evolved so that the poison now responds in a different way......and some day soon the Incredible Hulk Mouse will emerge from a cupboard, six feet tall and angry.
-
So Mighty Mouse has been dining on Rentokil poison every night for a week now. Same routine, I fill the little pot at night, he eats it all up. I have also put out traps but he seems to swerve them in favour of the yummy little poison pellets. I'm beginning to think he is immune and I am in fact feeding him a nutritious supper! I know at least one other flat in my building has had mice and got pest control in. I could also do that but I am sure they come in via holes that I cannot get to, such as behind a fixed wardrobe. I'm assuming that unless all of the flats have pest control then they will return. In the meantime I'm wondering whether the poison just isn't getting him and he is invincible? Or does it take longer to work?

Whether it is PMS, PMDD or PND it is not ok to feel this way! Your GP shouldn't send you away with the message that having suicidal thoughts monthly is ok. You are reaching out for help and the "it's just PMS" attitude isn't helpful or accurate. Please be reassured that there are treatment options- including medication and psychological therapy. I would suggest you return to your GP and, if need be, see a different one.

No need to justify yourself DulwichFox, dry Jan is a great thing to do whether you find it hard or not and does not have to be an indication of something being wrong. The savings calculation and accompanied holidays must feel great! I still feel pretty good following dry Jan and have enjoyed a glass of wine or two over the past week. Definitely notice a change in sleep and energy levels etc following a drink but I'm willing to take that!

Noise from the Cherry Tree pub
binkylilyput replied to Squirrel74's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Well if that's what had to happen with the Great Exhibition then clearly all of East Dulwich should use this example as a guide. First complain about it on this forum in the hope the pub in question might see (maybe send smoke signals and telepathic messages just to be sure), create some negative discussion about a pub which has otherwise been fostering good public relations (especially in comparison to previous owners).....then if, and only if all of these avenues have been covered, then you might have to go do something REALLY maverick like communicate with them in person. Go speak to them, see if anything can be achieved in a polite and grown up fashion, if not, come back on here and many people will be all too happy to help. Noise from the Cherry Tree pub

Ridiculous Go ask them politely if they can help keep the noise down.....then buy yourself a pint and enjoy the good relations that actual face-to-face communication fosters -
Yep, sorry that is what I meant.....prepared in a kitchen run by them (as in not in the chef's home) It seems they have changed hands too Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > binkylilyput Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Similar concept has been up and running for > some > > time now called Deliverance.....although health > > and safety issues are managed by the chefs > using > > their kitchen > > > > https://www.deliverance.co.uk/ > > > But the local Deliverance food was prepared in > just one kitchen in Herne Hill, wasn't it? > > They now seem to be called InJoy, according to a > flyer through my door recently.
