Where I'm from, wooley backs are anywhere from across the Mersey, and outside of Liverpool boundaries, which certainly includes Birkenhead. Though Otta has a point, those from the area have the thickest of scouse accents. -

Never ever had Scouse (as described), nor did I know anyone who had it. What we did have was Irish Stew which I guess is pretty much stew as everyone had/has it. As for Birkenhead folk, certainly not scoucers. Known largely as 'wooly backs'. -
As much as I dislike them, they are without doubt worthy winners of the prem. Fair play LFC.

Normally a champion of all things DHFC, today the standard of football was as always impressive, unfortunately the beer didn't match, flat as Everton's back four today. Also charged 2.50 for half a lager, think that was an innocent mistake but overall unlike the side continues to do, the bar needs to up its game.
