  1. Rory, the golfer who keeps on giving, and that was in 2012, it's time to give again now that you have had a year off. Please, please. I could have cashed out on Thurs for half my profit and now you are 2 shots behind. Dang.
  2. Thanks Declan for the optimism. I have backed Ireland for the triple crown at 5/1. I think they will lose to France so im hoping the others will go well. Nothing between England, Wales and Ireland. Wales massively overrated and still slightly confused about their Lions domination. Lets not forget that it was England that went into the last game of last year with grand slam prospects so England are a very good side.
  3. RD is not technically minded. Please lets help him out where we can.

  5. I'm in. Thx

  7. Of course, we expect that. But a record that has stood for 90 odd years has to be worth something. Its only 3 or 4 years ago that we were shipping 4 goals against St Mirren under Mowbray. Unbeaten in 23 SPL matches, 12 consecutive wins and 10 successive clean sheets.
  8. Funny enough my wife makes me buy her Jamie books for xmas. I don't mind his recipes at all, just have gone off him quite significantly. Good luck with the move!
  9. Fraser equals club record. Manager: A fantastic achievement for Fraser By: Mark Henderson on 29 Jan, 2014 22:51 NEIL Lennon has heaped praise on Fraser Forster after he equalled the club?s long-standing league clean sheet record by amassing his 10th successive shut-out in tonight?s 4-0 victory over Kilmarnock. The Englishman again turned in a peerless performance, the highlight of which was an outstanding save at point-blank range from Manuel Pascali?s volley. And by keeping the Rugby Park side at bay, it meant he had matched the record achieved by the great Charlie Shaw in 1913/14 and then again in 1921/22.
  10. I think its to do with existing plumbing etc being easier on the existing wall side rather than on the side of the new walls/roof, but I have seen both done.
  11. It got better in 2008, when I laid my new lawn.
  12. Thierry Henry on Graham Norton tonight. He had his hand on Graham's left ball. He thought no-one would see but we are always watching you now, you cheating twot. Leave it, leave it.
  13. With apologies to the first 5 posts.
  14. What a shit thread. Is there some rule that poetry has to be "funny".
  15. The Stretford End sings: "We are Man United, we lose when we want...."
  16. Mid-Term Break I sat all morning in the college sick bay Counting bells knelling classes to a close. At two o'clock our neighbors drove me home. In the porch I met my father crying-- He had always taken funerals in his stride-- And Big Jim Evans saying it was a hard blow. The baby cooed and laughed and rocked the pram When I came in, and I was embarrassed By old men standing up to shake my hand And tell me they were 'sorry for my trouble,' Whispers informed strangers I was the eldest, Away at school, as my mother held my hand In hers and coughed out angry tearless sighs. At ten o'clock the ambulance arrived With the corpse, stanched and bandaged by the nurses. Next morning I went up into the room. Snowdrops And candles soothed the bedside; I saw him For the first time in six weeks. Paler now, Wearing a poppy bruise on his left temple, He lay in the four foot box as in his cot. No gaudy scars, the bumper knocked him clear. A four foot box, a foot for every year. Seamus Heaney Having a 4 year old son, this made me sad, especially the high impact final line. Add your own poens.

  19. This all sounds very familiar. Is that you dear?
  20. Just to revert to Man United matters. Who thinks Moyes will last 1 season, 2 seasons, 3 seasons or more? I'm going for them changing after 1 season. Finish outside top 4, players feedback is no so good, realise error of ways, buy in a big name manager. Some clues to MU's intentions will become clear in January, when we see how much money they entrust in DM.
  21. Support Shamrock Rovers - and get the T shirt.
  22. You got him AM.
  23. I don't have sky Declan. But my argument is not about one game it's about a poor recruitment process, which I couldn't quite believe.
  24. Trainer Amy pronounces herself very excited about Silver Treasures prospects. She normally plays down expectations so we might have decent prospects this year. March probably means France again though as England flat starts later. Dear All, Silver Treasure has settled back into the routine really nicely. He has completed his second week trotting and seems to have grown and strengthened up from last season. I am very excited about running him this year and I will make a plan for him when we see what races are available for him in early March. BTW. I have had the winnings through from last year's races and after paying the training fees we have a bit left to cover Jan and Feb training costs. Therefore it's been self financing so far, which is fantastic.
