As Frankie Boyle once said. Yes, we have a vegetarian option for you this evening: Eat the meat, or f*ck off.
  2. It's time for a complete review of the penalty rules (which of course will never happen as football seems to take pride in retaining original rules fundamental to the game) Whether its a foul on Ashley Young or not, a penalty normally results in a goal. Most times the person fouled never looked remotely likely to score a goal. Hence the punishment is not appropriate and becasue of this people will always dive to get a goal from nothing. Its outdated and causes so many problems in the modern game. The penalty try in rugby is given where a try would almost certainly have been scored but for the foul. Football should adopt something similar. Too many boheheads in charge.

Some top London restaurants won't even give you a price for a main course these days. ?80-90 for 3 courses plus service and you're over 100. You can attribute whatever you want to the main but will we settle for 55/60 quid, hence 16 is a fair bit less than 60, so no way can anyone compare Ramsey etc with ED. Whether 16 is reasonable or not depends upon a lot of factors but as I suggested on page 1 if they can match Franklin's or Palmerston standard then I think it's a fair price and they could do well, hopefully.
  10. Peachy - I was pointing out that it's a National Hunt horse - 13 of its 16 races have been over hurdles. Compeletely different from flat. But it seems to have been very successful.
  11. Thanks PGC. Thought he came back well after the bump. Im registered as an owner with BHA. So I do get to choose my racing colours. So your request for hoops is on my shortlist! Trouble is until you own > 50% of a horse you don't get to use your own colours. As that's a bit on the expensive side I might never have the need to choose any colours. Peachy. Extreme is a national hunt horse whereas mine is a flat racing horse. But I'm enjoying working things out as we go along at the moment, it's all a bit of a learning curve. Thanks for the offer and will pm if the need a rises. Thx.

  13. The Fugue...in the Turf. Go girl.
  14. Thursday's race from thread to mobile phone. Hence not great quality. Mouse shows Silver Treasure
  15. Was introduced to some new people last night and the conversation turned to football. Why do people look embarrassed when they say they support West Ham. Why do the others then look at him sympathetically. Why do people try to convince said WH supporter that there is a lot of excitement in getting relegated and promoted randomly. The west ham conversation always seems to go the same way.
  16. ONeill and Keane back in the management game?
  17. Princess of Sylmar in the Distaff.
  18. Breeders Cup weekend. Customarily it's good for losing a few quid.
  19. Joe Hart used to be Head and Shoulders above the rest. Can't think what happened. Must have changed his shampoo. Grabs coat.

    Great Gigs

Saw Jake Bugg at the O2 last week which was very good. Wasn't quite the oldest person there.
  21. I'm finding there are not enough ticket entry points - 5 in total is not enough if people are entering and exiting at the same time. It was never going to be enough for such a busy station. Until recently you could just walk through but not any more, so there is queuing.

  23. Its here. Thank Goodness.
  24. Cheers AM. Finished second again in another 6f maiden. Got knocked about a bit so did well to finish second I reckon, but the favourite won. Silver Treasure was 5/2 second fav, so went with form. Very consistent though, three consecutive 2nd places. It was heavy ground, i'm hoping its one that "goes on all surfaces" rather than liking soft/heavy as I have big hopes for next summer :)
