Following on from a debate in the Drawing Room regarding the difficulties in the US on it's ability to meet it's debt obligations.... Can a left wing or socialist minded government ever solve a finanical crisis or get a country out of a recession - Is there much precedent for this ? Or is there more precedent for a left wing government taking the tax and spend approach that leads to increasing debt.

Ross made an even smaller move today - now 3 back. But not out of it. However - I followed my Frankel win with another Henry Cecil win on Midday - another top performance in the Nassau. I'm beginning to wish I was not going away for 2 weeks and instead could go and sample some of the great racing that is happening this summer. I am hoping to make it to York on 19th for the Ebor meeting though, so I guess I can't complain.
