  2. Full marks for reading the question 1maura.
  3. Ive had a tenner at 9/1 just to give me someone to support...
  4. England 2 Scotland 3 The world cup winners unbeaten run at Wembley didn't last long - and watch out in the commentary for a Jack Charlton effort that "he thought was over the line".... we heard that before. And it seems Scotland beat England that day with only two from Celtic's team that won the 1967 European Cup, all of whom were Scots. The Scotland selectors must have had an embarrassment of riches!!

Broonie could take Hendersen in midfield on a one to one but England's strength in midfield generally will probably mean he has his work cut out. My wife and kids are out tonight so ill watch it as long as it remains close for you.
  6. Saw a few at Buckingham Palace this morning at 8.20. They can't have been drinking too hard last night. They probably heard the sun was coming out and know they wont see it again until April. Scotland 9/1 for tonight's game. Tough one.

When the children were younger we used to sing Marianne in the car together. They've progressed to One Direction and Niall Horan now.

Short term with the financial markets its all about perception. A lot of people predicted a mass sell off if Trump were to win, its a relief that it didn't happen. Asia has now bounced back overnight too. We all suffer when the markets are hit. In the longer term I always thought Trump would be good for business in the US, no issues there. He will make the US stronger in business internationally, of that I have no doubt. In the long term socialism makes a country weak in terms on international competitiveness, the future will be interesting.

  13. Not as important as wider issue, but at least the predicted meltdown in the financial markets hasn't happened (US/UK anyway - the Dow Jones and FTSE are up).
  14. An interesting perspective steveo - very good
  15. I'm beginning to think maybe I'm about average in total attendance at restaurants - but interesting to see who goes where, and people who have never been to the Palmerston or Franklins for example. I find that surprising as although they are higher end establishments, their lunch menus are good value if just to try them out. And yes I understand that with a big local population, it only takes occasional visits by a large proportion of the people for them to have enough clientele to do well.
  16. Sorry to hear that Foxy - be careful and look after yourself mate.
  17. For me it's a done deal. I'm going back to sleep.
  18. The Emily Maitlis analysis of the likely outcomes on the BBC interactive map has been brilliant tonight.
  19. Yes AM. It's on my TV too. But her chances are slim now.
  20. No but you can now have 25/1 on Hilary. She needs a miracle.
  21. Clinton is currently 8/1 with the bookies. (Although she has just taken the lead on completed votes.) New York Times says 95% chance of Trump being President...
  22. Have just been woken by the rain and my Betfair now has swung to Trump as odds on favourite. President Trump ?
