I don't read Morse, but this must be a short sentence even in Morse. Or is it Braille?
  3. My tip is pace yourself, if you want to look even 1/3 as good on leaving as you look on arrival. Its fantastic watching girls arrive at Ascot and hilarious watching them leave.
  4. ::o
  5. My fav Ken Loach film is "My name is Joe" anyone like that one? (avoided the temptation to go all political by choosing Wind that Shakes the Barley...)
  6. The Iranian political uprising against the alleged fixed vote could, political pundits are saying, be the first cyber revolution. Twitter etc is being used to circumvent government information controls on mobile phones etc. Twitter urges hackers to break into government computers etc., coordinates demonstrations etc.
  7. You are in a bitter mood tonight AFN. What's the matter?
  8. What do you mean AFN? I like Tony Blair - top man. Best PM in my lifetime. As for M&S I'm not a fan at all so I don't see the connection. Now, Waitrose and Tony, that I can see - quality connection.
  9. EDOldie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Shoppings a social activity Mick Mac. You need to > get out more. I do get out EDO - I go to the pub and my wife is at home organising it all on the interweb. It's like magic.
  10. How did you do that Anna?
  11. Oh dear. Its not even the weekend BBW.
  12. We're by far the greatest team the world has ever seen..... TAL - I - BAN TAL - I - BAN ....AV

    Ascot !!!!

It starts tomorrow. All betting news, tips (on what hats are in and which are not) - log them here. I'm going on Friday, so I'd ideally like to build up a little pot before then, so all tips for Tues to Thurs also gratefully received. Quids - can Yeats do it again?
  16. I liken Sarah Beeny to the old Charcol mortgage adviser adverts. 3 bumps but which one is the baby under.
  17. Why EDOldie - don't you know they come to you if you ask them nicely ? *quickly unpacks Ocado shopping in between posts*
  18. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
  19. She'd only want you to increase the dimensions of said extension Quids. She's a demanding lady with big expectations. PS - Where is the Ascot thread you promised?????
  20. As long as they can cook sweet and sour chicken hong kong stle, they will be welcome (friday nights only - we only have take away on Fridays).
  21. I see Sarah 3 Bumps Beeny is back on the telly again. All the people seem to be losing money in the new series. Lots of work for no return - does Sarah feel even a little bit guilty about starting this property developer epidemic that has led to so many people losing money - Not one bit, in fact lets start a new series where we get to watch them lose money (and cry on tv). What a lovely sadist she is.
  22. The postage was ?1.49 - not bad for airmail from Hong Kong - The envelope had HK Dollar 4.10 in stamps - so someone can tell me if there was a postage profit or not. Anyway someone in Hong Kong (Jenny Leung - address provided!) sent it and she went to the bother of going to the local post office to arrnage it for "feck all". And it came with a little typed note. Great. (Makes mental note to visit Hong Kong soon and see what Jenny looks like).
  23. But this is "for real" Moos. They really are interested in little old ED.
  24. My wife recently bid on an item (an in car mobile phone charger) on which she was the only bidder and she "won" it for 1p!!!! She was pleased - I told her the buyer would never bother to send it for 1p - However it arrived today and it had come from Hong Kong!!! How nice it is to see someone on Ebay who sticks by the moral code of the website - if anyone ever deserved positive feedback this was it.
  25. The impression he gave was that it would be a bigger Waitrose not a Somerfield size - hence will prob not be Lordship Lane. If they are only at the looking stage its a few years away I guess. But at least we can feel the upmarket aura of being on their wishlist. That means lots (doesn't it).
