Well I have to say I got more fun out of that tenner than all the bets I placed at Ascot on Friday on horses that only wanted to run for half the race. At least Duval never gave up unlike those cheval burger destined 4 legged excuses for thoroughbreds that I bet on on Friday. I have to say I'm booking for Tuesday at Ascot next year when there are some decent races - ones with less than 30 horses in. Thanks for the advice ?/TLS, I have not had the confidence to lay a bet on Betfair - but do take your advice on board for next time. Have booked to go to Kempton Wednesday night with a couple of guys from work - can't say I'm keen given my recent run. Having read the above it all seemed doom and gloom - instead of rewriting it - I'd just like to add that I'm happier than I seem.:)

When I first read this article I thought it must be from some journalist who has an axe to grid - perhaps she had bought a house in Clapham for extortionate money before finding out ED was 1) nicer and 2) cheaper. I'm also looking forward to it opening - with this shop and also Somerfields (not eveyone's taste perhaps), its nice to see something happening at this end of the lane. Its a bit of a walk to the bottom of the lane from where I live.

I have always liked Liqourish. Myself and a few friends did get refused entry by the female bouncer once when my friend had a very minor trip on the little step to get in - vowed never to go back but true to my word was back a week or two later. Was in there on Friday night - was busy enough - I usually try to fit it in at the end of the night. I try not to look the female bouncer in the eye just in case she remembers not letting me in once. But I agree they are nice - the same 2 bouncers have been in place for maybe 4/5 years.

Myself and a mate went in Friday night and walked straight back out again - very noisy. The guy on the door said "its well sound proofed isn't it". True - you open the door and are hit by a wall of sound. Seemed busy though. Suspect it and Liqourish will share customers, although Liqourish was quieter and we could hear ourselves speak. Adventure Bar may suffer though with a competitor on the same side of the road. More variety is good though.

Not sure Quids - I suspect a lot of people had written him off. Great odds even now if you take into account he is the highest ranked former major winner on the leaderboard. This guy was once the future of the game. Duval 59

Think Federer was a little nervous in French despite winning it - not sure he would have beaten Nadal - think Murray is growing in confidence and has good chance. Would be great to see a British winner.

They have tried to ban the plastic bag - next they will move on to the wheel any any other useful invention. The wheely bin is a great invention - what this campaign should be about is how bin men are no longer required to go and collect the bins - hence they sit outside peoples houses all day awaiting collection.

thought it was a great game. Vickery proved to be a poor selection and the boks forward power was negated when jones replaced him. Also rob kearney will push lee byrne for a place now. Lions finishing was poor. Monye twice and phillips once. Boks will be relieved to have won but worried about the lions backs who they could not handle. Roberts and o driscoll were unplayable.
