  1. What is it PGC? Never heard of it.
  2. Yep - a great advert for tennis and the best game of the championship so far.

I think a child trusts and loves it parents and should never fear physical punishment from them. I think the first time a child is smacked by one if its parents it suffers such a breach of trust and is most likely extremely shocked to receive pain from the person who so far in its life has only given it positve encouragement and where necessary verbal discouragement. Funny enough I don't think punishment from a teacher at school is any where near as bad.
  4. Forget Murray for the mo - the match of the championship so far is Hewitt v Roddick. 5th set - great game.
  5. Well said David - I'm glad someone sees it the same way as me.
  6. Clare - The sort of respect I would achieve by hitting my child is the sort of respect I don't need. Thanks.
  7. You have to draw the line somewhere.
  8. Yes, very good Quids. I'm now betting on things I don't expect to happen, a bad tactic, borne of the search for longer odds and bigger winnings from smaller stakes.
  9. This is a very long thread. That chap who parked his car in the disabled bay has a lot to answer for. I always think there are too many disabled bays and very few disabled people. I'm all in favour of disabled bays but when you make too many of them, which lie empty, they are bound to be taken advantage of by unscrupulous people.
  10. Just an outsider ?10 on Hewitt at 46s. Have not really got the confidence to go large on Federer or Murray.
  11. Parents can teach their children right from wrong without hitting them / slapping them. This debate is not about whether parents teach right from wrong - of course all parents seek to achieve that, its whether its necessary to hit/slap them to achieve that. I believe that in years to come we will look back with disbelief that the only acceptable violence allowed in society today is against children. I don't blame my parents for using that form of discipline not do I blame this generation of parents, its up to them to make a choice, (although I have to say I hate to witness a child being smacked) but we have made the choice to discipline our children without slap/smack/hit as I really believe it is wrong and I believe it will be seen to be so in the future.

  13. I tend not to rush home as I would only have to bath the children, so this thread is of no value to me.
  14. I think some people put their hands in their pockets when they are nervous - I would hope it was nothing more than that JSW. However if it was pre determined as you suggest then I agree it was wrong.
  15. tony fancies girl. Girl does not put out for tony.girl thinks tony will gamble her money away. Thats it io a nutshell kel.
  16. 55! Jeez Tony, shouldn't you be in bed.
  17. Go for it Tony - once you are in the saddle she won't be able to resist you Tony. Before you know it you'll be spending her money like a Boy WAG.
  18. It doesn't have to be good.
  19. Don't worry Indie - all my points are tongue in cheek. So all good fun. Tony = you should have moved in.
  20. Think you missed a bit Indie Men like women who are: young and fit = [good for sex for 5 years and then] = good mother. Think some women like the glamourous WAGS lifestyle - but think most women take as they find and if they love the man and his personality they will stick with him unless he turns out to be a complete loser. You see, thats me always giving women the benefit of the doubt...
  21. Have you tried the crown green bowling club in Dulwich Park. Its very busy at weekends. You will need white gear to fit in.
  22. Doh - never thought of that. Are women really attracted by money?
  23. His girlfiend is really attractive - how does he do it, he's an ugly bugger.
  24. Cheers Tommy - I will give that a try if I lose my job. But as I earn well in excess of ?33m I'm not tempted to try that just yet.
  25. Sorry Quids - was busy yesterday - but funny enough the horse I backed for the English Derby won the Irish version. Typical. Yes it's a bad run, but I have a record of all my bets from August last year and I'm up, but the recent run has taken half my profit, it was all going so well, but there you go, nothing lasts forever.
