  1. My daughter too has just started keyboard lessons. We got one from Argos for ?99, and it came with a stand and all important headphones!! Can't find it online, but it's definately in the catalogue.
  2. Well done, see you school won, and I've suggested this to our PTFA!
  3. Back Flippers run classes at St John's & St Clement's school that are open to non school children. Contact details on their web site. They run Tuesdays and Thursdays. My daughter loves them.
  4. Harris Sports Centre hire out a sports hall with bouncy castle (loads of running space), and a classroom for the food. ?100 for 2 hours.

  6. Went here today for the first time since the work has sort of been finished. Was a bit disappointed at the "water play". Tap wasn't switched on, and even if it was, can't see how much fun could be had apart from getting soaked under the tap! Can anyone explain what the posts are for? They're too far apart to be used a stepping posts (and quite frankly the last ones are too high!), just couldn't see what use they are and that whatever they cost was a waste of money. Surely a slide or something would have been better. Also the climbing frame, what's the curly pole for? And the cargo net was too widely spaced for easy climbing. Did the planners of this not actually consult any parents? Also agree with the fencing issue, much easier to relax if you know they can't run off and you don't need to worry about dog poo!
  7. Been to both and love both. Hever has a really good water maze (but my kids are older), and a hedge maze, also a play area (but probably too old for a nearly 2 year old). Grounds are lovely, but never get to see much of the castle as my two have the attention span of goldfish for things like that. Leeds grounds are bigger (and their ticket will last you all year), got an avery, a huge maze and a nice toddler play area. I'd probably plump for Leeds with a wee one. They also have a land train, so when knackered on the return you don't have to walk the whole way!
  8. I obviously over pay - mine get a ?2 coin!

  10. Mine had it done through the NHS, but ended up having it done at Blackheath hospital. His advice - go for a general, not local, cos it really really hurt!!!!
  11. Dummy strap? They attach to the clothes and then they never get lost. Swore by them when my wee man was smaller (he had 3 clipped on!)
  12. They are both yucky! Sorry, that doesn't help much.
  13. St John's & St Clement's school will also be singing carols on Goose Green this Tuesday from 5.30pm, if you just wanted a sing a long. Wrap up warm though and bring a torch so you can read the words!
  14. St John's and St Clement's is shut today due to broken boiler!
  15. St John's & St Clement's OPEN, but the text said keep kids at home if you want too, will be authorised absence.
  16. Excellent news re getting a blue bin instead of having 4 crates that don't really stack! I'm ordering mine now! And I'm all for the new system, working well here so far.
  17. you could try www.footballmagiccoaching.co.uk I know they are based in Dulwich.
  18. You could always just put them out the front of your house in a box with a note saying help yourself. I've got rid of loads of books this way when the charity shop wouldn't take them. Of course, it has to be on a day when it isn't going to rain!
  19. I found the only way when they were small was syringe and brute force. They needed the medicine whether they wanted it or not. Sounds really mean, but it did work, and now they take all medicine really well. (They know that they take it the easy way or the hard way!).
  20. When I got my two baptised the Godparents were supposed to be confirmed as well as baptised themselves, which left me with very little choice! In the end the vicar excepted baptised only, but only after a bit of pleading on my part! We're CofE.
  21. Yep, I've had the poo and puke bug too - not pleasant. But with me it only lasted 24 hours, although took another couple of days to recover properly. Touch wood the kids haven't had it.
  22. I hired mine from Boots, and was the only pain relief I used with the birth of my 2nd. It worked a treat for me and at the end was on the boost bit permantely!! I guess it's all down to how the individual gets on with them, but I would fedinately recommend giving it a go.
  23. If you can wait a bit, St John's & St Clement's school are having a micro scooter stall at their summer fair on Saturday 26th June. You can try out the different types and order them (5 day delivery), and the school gets commission! Just a thought (and a wee plug!)
