  11. Thanks Kim :) 488 hits yesterday so seems a popular idea - anyone willing to write a short article for my site please get in touch! Ideas include book reviews, poetry, personal experience of trying to conceive, being pregnant, having a baby and juggling work, and anything you think other women (and men) would like to read about really. Look forward to hearing from you!

Smiler Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Is over two years since we used it, but we didn't > like Bright Horizons, mainly due to a poor manager > (probably gone by now) and high staff turnover > meaning frequent changes of keyworker. My childminder used to work there and said the same - manager now changed and staff all moved on apart from 1 girl apparently - current staff are excellent, my son is loving it so far and I am very impressed (and I consider myself hard to impress haha)
  15. i have checked out those above, thanks, both slightly different go to www.eastdulwichmummy.com and let me know what you think! all suggestions gratefully received :)
  16. 2 offers and counting :) ideas for an article include: running your own business, health & beauty tips, baby blues, being superwoman and balancing work & home life, holidays... and some poetry would be nice!
  17. We had same problem, resolved by converting to toddler bed with a side rail that you can put up and down (our son moves around the cot too!)... Gro bags didn't work with my son, he got too hot and anyway always managed to get out - houdini toddler!!
  18. I am trying to set up a website (similar to this but more of a directory than a forum for discussion). I will be including all sorts of listings for local businesses but also want to include a page on money saving tips and hopefully some general articles on anything that affects parents or parents to be... If anyone is interested in contributing please PM me. Thanks

  20. Hi - I am thinking about setting up a website, aimed at parents - similar to the forum but less of a place for discussion and more where you can find business details quickly when you need them (eventually having reviews etc.). Any ideas and suggestions welcome, plus if anyone would like their details posted on the site please let me know and I will let you have the site details. This won't be direct competition for the forum (which I think is great!) as it will be more focused on childcare and other services available locally as well as info for new parents or parents to be. Thanks everyone (and thanks forum!!)

  22. Thanks all, we saw Abhi Parikh on Harley Street. He told us basically what we already knew (op not recommended unless affecting his hearing, speech, development etc.) but still causing real problems in the night so we will see how it goes...
  23. I'd say Sudocreme without a shadow of a doubt, plus smells quite nice - surprisingly! I got a lovely smelling one as a present (all natural, very expensive brand) and it was absoolutely rubbish.
  24. Chair style ones are great - I got Thomas and he loved it the minute he got it - far more comfy than traditional potties, if a bit more pricey.
  25. Enid Blyton definitely a great read... Is Nancy Drew author British? Hmm... Secret Garden? Might be a bit old but can be read to her. Or just look generally on Amazon and book websites like Waterstones, they often have great recommendations and you can sift by age.
