"Another easy way to help raise much needed funds for Xavier's operation is by visiting your favourite shops online through his charity portal. All of the details are below and there is no cost to you. The charity gets paid from the retailers who have agreed to support the cause so you can help just by buying the things you wanted to anyway. If you shop on-line and purchase from John Lewis, Amazon, M&S, Argos, Viking and many more. Please use my 'easyfundraising' account and the retailer will automatically donate some money at no cost to you. Please read on to help me get to my target: How it works easyfundraising.org.uk helps charities, schools, sports clubs, community groups, and other good causes to raise money when their supporters shop online. It works in a similar way to many other loyalty shopping sites, but instead of earning points when you shop, you raise a donation for your cause instead. You can shop with over 2,000 well known stores and each will donate up to 15% of what you spend. For example, John Lewis will donate 1%, Amazon 2.5%, The Body Shop 6%, some insurance retailers will even donate up to ?30 simply for taking out a policy with them! There is no extra cost to you. If you would like to help Xavier?s cause in this way: 1.Click on ?Find a cause? and select ?Help Xavier?. 2.Fill out the quick form to register your details. 3.Find the retailer you want to shop with. 4.Click to visit the retailer, then shop as you normally would. 5.Your donation will be shown in your easyfundraising account within 30 days. So if you shop on-line we are asking everyone to shop through easyfundraising.org.uk and help raise money for Xavier. Also, if you like please ask your friends and family to shop on-line to help Xavier. Thanks you for your support. Love Sharanjit, Gavin and Xavier xx" -

People who take the aisle seats on trains, refuse to move their feet/bags then proceed to stick their elbows in you and huff n puff as though you are in the wrong for wanting to sit in the corner of space they allow you :( Humph.

recycling bin next to the Mind shop and also in Harvester car park (Dulwich Common) or there is a mens hostel just behind Elephant & Castle, tho they generally want warm clothing and hardwearing shoes/boots - easy to find, street just behind the station, if you ask someone they should know whereabout it is, I think it is Key Street from memory

locally on the East Dulwich Mummy website lots of discounts on beauty treatments, personal training (some proceeds to www.helpxavier.org), acupuncture, photo sessions and much more... (won't let me type the address, think they're afraid it's a rival site even tho it really isn't!) x

Pregnancy and depression...anyone been through this?
esme replied to mrsS's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Definitely nothing to feel ashamed about, really feel for you esp as they say avoid medication in pregnancy... have you tried gentle exercise such as pilates, swimming, yoga? you would find you'll make friends as well as hopefully lifting your spirits. Also worth altering your diet to include more B vitamins and minerals / vits that help with energy levels. Oh and good news is chicken, cheese and chocolate(yay) are "happiness" foods according to the Food Hospital (channel 4 series also has a website). Talking therapies can definitely help with a variety of issues, so agree worth a go. If no use through GP try a private counsellor, lots of good ones around East Dulwich. Hope you feel happier very very soon xx -
Dulwich Village Pre School on Dulwich Common are very reasonable and offer morning/afternoon sessions, agree a struggle to pay for childcare costs which are on the rise esp in this area! Put your name down at as many as poss and you're sure to get a place soon x
