  1. Dulwich Sports Club also have a display this Saturday 2nd November: see following link http://www.dulwichfireworks.com/
  2. The Dulwich sports club one sounds great - separate area for children and even separate snacks bar for them where they can get drinks, food and sparklers :) I saw it advertised in SE22 magazine tho wasn't altogether clear so thanks for posting address busymum! p.s. I think you pay for most nowadays - I don't mind as saves me buying them and also far safer than having them in back garden!!
  3. I used both when baby was little as went through sooo many - found re-useables fine around the house but hassle carrying around when out and about. Pros and cons to both and you can get lots of info on sites like www.cleangreennappy.co.uk and you can get free voucher towards initial cost - can't quite remember how (tho definitely through local council) but probably a thread on it here :)
  4. One weekend only!
  5. I have a 3.5 yr old boy and baby due in march. Saw spring babies meet up for 2013 and looked like a nice idea for 2014 :)
  6. Get them while you can - ?29 reduced to a tenner on their outlet site :) SO comfy straight leg jeans and other things too... http://www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/sp+straight-leg-maternity-jeans-in-maternity-jeans-and-trousers+b4395
  7. Some people have too much time on their hands (er KK where do you live that's so perfect?!)... why am I reading this ;) hmm wonder what happened
  8. Roundabout Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Was that ?50,000 a year rent? > 100 locals putting in ?500 each. Share issue like > Ivy House? > Run your local pub for a year/longer? > Perhaps 9am till noon use as community centre for > isolated residents / resource centre / helping > those with difficulty filling in forms etc > /advice/other. > Local grants elected members? > What you say? Sounds along the lines of The Patch - community run pub idea for The Mag... didn't pan out as they didn't hit their funding target but nice idea :)
  9. How about a weekday after the end Aug bank holiday if anyone else is around? Yes of course nursery and reception!
  10. Worth a read: http://www.theatrepeckham.co.uk/about-us.php Sounds like a great cause!
  11. Goose Green festival - parade and lots of stalls, also DK Hill school fair, St Anthonys (Barry Rd)... LOADS to choose from, should be a great fun wknd!
  12. My 3 yr old does this when unsettled - e.g. this week after coming back from a week on holiday (where he had us all to himself)... All I can say is my sympathy is with you, mine thankfully reads to himself after getting up a cpl of times and trying it on (after I have read a few books to him). Try to ignore screaming or if you do respond then be firm and a bit cross (so she knows you're cross about her screaming and it's not a solution to her getting her way). SO hard sometimes, I even told my son to shut up the other morning as so tired/stressed, he scrunched his cute little face up and said "mummy doooon't say that to me" ;)
  13. I have over 200 CDs from years ago - mostly prob 90s or more classic R&B / soul / dance. Am considering giving to charity but would like to make some cash if possible. Any ideas gratefully received thanks :)
  14. Anyone up for meeting up to introduce our little uns - saw a post for GG nursery parents and liked the idea :)
  15. I would say wear what you want - I wore a dressy dress that could not BF in when my son was still a baby... ended up just hitching the whole thing up when I wanted to feed, but hey it was a one off and worked out fine. Would suggest something stretchy that dsnt show any milk marks, good luck and enjoy the day x
  16. Wow just catching this thread... find it pretty unreal people added their "twopence worth" when you were just trying to get from A to B - people should mind their own business a bit more! People can be SO impatient, even when things do not concern them - hardly child cruelty putting on a snoozeshade ;)
  17. I love my Maclaren buggy for the fact it is narrow and easily foldable - most maclarens are designed just for that, tho I always find I stuff too much in the bottom to fold quickly on buses! p.s. there is NOTHING that will avoid people tutting on the bus, unless they have kids (and even then...)
  18. Micro scooters very robust and look fab too :)
  19. What a great cause, will see what I have!
  20. Dulwich Village Pre School x
  21. Sounds very exciting - go for it! Very jealous :)
  22. Not sure about ride on toys but Tippeetoes do soft play hire for parties :)
  23. McDonald Hotel walking distance to the centre and absolutely lovely hotel, pricey but worth it!
  24. If you want a nursery I would visit and put names down now as waiting lists are horrendous generally, ditto some good childminders, otherwise lots of nannies and au pairs so those options worth considering. Source directly using the forum and Gumtree or use an agency - East Dulwich Nanny Agency or Tinies for example. Treehouse Work and Play is great if you want respite as they have a creche and you can work or go off and shop and have some free time for a few hours. Hope you find the right childcare for you - always seems like a huge mountain but it gets sorted out in the end :) Good luck x
