  1. Angela Banton is right near the library and she is lovely - tel. 07963 604 847 Years of experience plus experience with her own children, gave my son a real home from home and I couldn't recommend her more highly. Feel free to PM if you have any questions, happy to give a fuller reference.
  2. My son loved this, although got stagefright (he was a penguin *awww*) during the performance... Art, dance, theatre... Well worth the money, he was keen to go every day. I think they're on in Herne Hill next week so not too late to book!
  3. www.nightnannies.com do overnight care but you can always take your older child and then arrange someone to pick them up so try not to stress
  4. Just to let everyone know about some great deals and discounts with Live Love Local loyalty card - you can sign up for a card free of charge (collect from Goose Green clinic or Captured on the Rye cafe SE22) and there are lots of offers listed on their website [http://www.livelovelocal.net]. Everything from chocolate to post natal pilates and dance (adults & children's classes)! Over 60 businesses listed so have a look :)
  5. I've managed this a handful of times (baby now 4 months)... Great when it happens but I mainly end up feeding/cuddling/stroking whatever it takes! Am hoping for longer sleeps once baby is weaned :)
  6. If you go for piano try SE22 piano school, they have lots of great teachers and I think Lorraine who runs it recommends they're a min. Of 5 yrs old when they start :)
  7. Tippeetoes do this as mentioned above, though I'm sure there is room for another company locally as SO many families! Someone did post about opening a soft play place in ED but I've not seen anything so maybe that plan never happened...

  9. Great Expectations run by Michele Misgalla at Goose Green clinic
  10. My son went there when the new manager took over (who is leaving I might add). I'd say she tried her best and was a lovely person but not the best manager generally and very young to have that kind of responsibility - agree with most of the disparaging comments unfortunately (poor cleanliness, disorganised, poor addressing of bad behaviour and so on). My son was bullied there and I didn't like the way it was handled (or not as the case seemed to be) so that in addition to them not reading to the children or having any real structure led to us moving him from there to alternative childcare. Unsettling but necessary in his case. In contrast, I have 2 good friends who have had more positive experiences so would always say judge for yourself, as with anything in life!
  11. Lou at Captured on the rye does great parties - he does spin painting and t-shirt screen printing, lots of fun and very reasonably priced :)
  12. We've booked a break near Bude with Court Farm holidays which could be an idea... Or how about somewhere like Bath? They have the Jane Austen museum, nice parks, shops. All easy to stroll around city centre and nearby.
  13. Near to Mila & Davis hairdressers if anyone has lost a shoe - very pretty one at that... shame!
  14. I have no personal experience but have heard good things from a friend...
