  1. I had similar concerns but think childminders are great - not long before "big school" so I'd wait it out :)
  2. 'How Santa Really Works' by Alan Snow is great for toddlers - pop up book, which my son loves... Maybe Wibbly Pig or something like that for baby with lots of pics :) I also have an 8 month old and 4 yr old!
  3. Definitely see the teacher so they can keep an eye - I'd expect scraped knees and filthy uniform but no serious injuries!

I'm weaning baby #2 at the mo and he started off with just wanting fruit puree but now happy to munch/chew/suck/gnaw on most things... if you're concerned about vitamins try baby porridge or one of the savoury wholegrain smooth rice things, my baby now loves solid food (well all he can manage without teeth - scrambled eggs, stuffed pasta and so on) but still loves the Heinz broccoli and cheese packet stuff so when he's tired and dsnt have patience for "proper" food I give him that... good luck :)

  13. I think 2 yr olds can get some free hours if you are on a low income or benefits, haven't heard about any other schemes...
  14. ?150 raised so a big thank you to everyone who came, esp the lovely mummys who helped do face painting and took money on the door. :)

  17. I looked this up yesterday and it seems around ?140+ for an hr and ?175-250 is average for 2 hrs to include show, face painting, music etc. Have you looked at local options? Some really talented folks - Lucy Sparkles, Artastic, Lou at Captured on the Rye does fab tshirt screen printing parties (can include some spin painting and has a candy floss machine too!)...

  20. I know someone who uses Magic Moments too and she gives glowing reports, they're affordable too esp if you just want a few hours break
  21. He's great isn't he! I'm thinking of a tshirt printing party for my four yr olds next birthday as have heard soooo many good things and seen the spin paintings too, they're fab..
