  5. Karvol drops smell lovely, olbas oil for children (in bath and a few drops on a muslin near bed), Vicks on chest, tummy and soles of feet...

  7. Now organised for Friday 31st Oct 2-4pm at The Plough and there will indeed be apple bobbing and more fun games - did you know people used to play apple bobbing to choose a bride/groom (wedding game)! :)
  8. I am a local mum who thought it'd be nice to organise something spooky for the kids on Halloween - cheap n cheerful at ?3.50 per child (?2.50 per sibling, babies and ghoulish grown ups free).. HALLOWEEN FUN FAMILY EVENT AT THE PLOUGH (Lordship Lane / Barry Road across from Dulwich Library) Friday 31st October 2-4pm Babies up to 10 yr olds welcome with mum and/or dad or carer. Older children can also come along but most activities will be for the very little uns :) Prize for best fancy dress (optional!), Art & crafts, games, food & drink? Disco / live music Proceeds to charity - Evelina Children?s Hospital and Brain Tumour Trust

  15. anyone have any tips for what might cause this? have tried changing formula - dsnt seem too severe (i.e. once or max twice per day) but is not going away... baby not yet on solids, just formula daytime and b/f through the night
  16. bambino mio are good and comfy, as well as quite quick to dry
  17. Completely agree with the above, Lou is a lovely guy and brilliant artist, clearly loves what he does and gets stuck in with the kids during parties/events... spin painting, t-shirt screen printing and candyfloss - all on every child's wish list surely :)

  20. Anyone have any ideas what that extraordinarily loud bang was? Just heard something that sounded like an explosion... no lightning, no rain, sounded louder than thunder. Neighbours came to the window too, no idea what that was :(

  23. Keep trying and avoid lifting as recipe for disaster (based on views of lots of mums I know)... Brolly sheets are excellent - pricey but don't make a noise and so easy to change bed in the night if necessary. Good luck!
