  1. Hi, The Met Police have set up a Community collection for needy/vulnerable children in various London boroughs. For example, I have donated a present for a child in Westminster as I work in that area. You can also donate online to their Just Giving account and choose which borough receives that donation - see following link: https://www.justgiving.com/metxmastree/ A very worthwhile cause! Thanks for reading and your generosity :)
  2. We raised ?112 so ?56 for Evelina Children's Hospital http://www.supportevelina.org.uk/who-we-are/ and ?56 for the Southwark Day Centre http://www.sdcas.org.uk/ THANK YOU to everyone who came (and my special face painting friend Jo who was amazing!) :) HAPPY HALLOWEEN...
  3. Just to make it clear it is fine to arrive around 4pm as I appreciate some need to pop home to drop school stuff off and change into costume if you wish (you can come along with a mask if easier!). Hope to see you later for some spooky fun - wooooooooooooo :)
  4. Yes the lovely manager Brian is organising a DJ!

Dressing up encouraged :) The Plough, Lordship Lane near Dulwich Library / top of Barry Rd No need to buy advance tickets! ?2.50 per child (adults and babes in arms free) Proceeds to charity - 50/50 Evelina Children's Hospital and the Refugee Centre on Copleston Road
  6. I'd say a local hall or pub with large indoor space and some outdoor... I know there are lots of groups but not particularly in East Dulwich, more it seems in Peckham and Honor Oak or perhaps I am wrong.
  7. Lovely production - acting and singing. My 2 and 6 yr olds loved this show. You follow the actors around the walled garden in the park (near the paddling pool/sandpit). ?8 kids ?12 adults To book tel. 02078560380 or online www.sixteenfeet.co.uk
  8. My 6 yr old son does Kumon maths, very well run centre and helpful, patient staff. Every child is different - My son is good at maths but not so good at focusing! He doesn't "enjoy" it but he is now a year ahead of his classmates and is chuffed when he gets a certificate / award. It has also helped develop his attention span and ability to sit still and do his homework.
  9. Bus to Paddington (36 from Camberwell Green) and then boat ride from Paddington basin up to Camden - goes right to the zoo :)
  10. rice with a tomato based sauce (if you google 'jollof' rice it is an African dish which you can make with meat / seafood or just vegetables) noodles with veg and soy / stir fry sauce spanish omelette homemade pizza homemade soup and bread (or garlic bread as treat) homemade fishcakes with salad
  11. Lucy Sparkles http://www.lucysparkles.com/ caters for girls and boys. or Nuttys parties http://www.nuttyschildrensparties.co.uk/ GNDN do fun dance parties - my son had them for his 5th party and loved it - got everyone moving :) http://www.gdnd.co.uk/
  12. I also recommend - these are FAB!
  13. We saw Mr Jonas at The Portland Hospital and he was absolutely lovely and very knowledgeable. My youngest (just 2) had his tonsils and adenoids out there in June and recovered really quickly. Excellent from consultation through to post op care.
  14. My son loves it at Mother Goose nursery on Upland Road and my neighbour's son goes to their branch at Greendale and he also loves it. Lovely staff (and mixed age range), affordable rates, nice food, great activities (from making houmous to playing in the garden daily), good location. Happy children most of all!
  15. I bought a Disney car each for my son's party and they were a real hit with girls and boys, tho I did buy a back up cheap lip gloss from Peckham pound shop just in case - around ?3-4 each but if you then add cake and a punch ball balloon or similar that's enough :)
  16. Screen printing party by Lou Smith of Captured on the Rye (search the forum for loads of recommendations) https://capturedontherye.com/ or DK Hill adventure playground always a hit and affordable too. Lots of entertainers locally, ranging from magicians to themed parties. Good luck organising!
  17. Have you tried Balfes Bikes on East Dulwich Road? I know they have mended a tyre for my friend so might also help with this??
  18. I'd say there is always demand, esp if you organise in central East Dulwich - say the St Johns & St Clements church hall or East Dulwich community centre, as the baby sales I know of are almost always Camberwell / West Dulwich / Dulwich Village which - if you don't drive like me - are a faff to get to, esp if you take the kids!
  19. Nimble Arts take vouchers as well as those above and I can highly recommend their clubs - www.nimblearts.co.uk
  20. Bugsy Malone celebration family weekend coming up on 5,6 and 7 August Kids can have a Fat Sam?s Grand Slam experience, and there will also be an exhibition and screenings of the film too as well as a kids screenwriting workshop and talks from the cast and crew... https://www.bafta.org/whats-on/bugsys-40th-birthday-bash
  21. My youngest is 2 and goes to Mother Goose on Upland Road, which he loves - located in a Victorian house, nice garden, good mix of old and young staff, lots of activities, very impressed all round :)
  22. We went to a fabulous 6th birthday party run by Walters family tae kwondo yesterday at the Bussey building. Everything was laid out well - from mats to equipment - and the instructor made sure the kids had fun in a safe environment from start to finish! Would highly recommend :)
  23. My mum got me a 40th cake from a place on Lordship Lane I hadn't realised did cakes, it was beautiful and tasted delicious http://www.sugarcraftboutique.co.uk/content/6-opening-times Would highly recommend
