Further to the somewhat long message (posted Friday 11th), I'd like to suggest viewing the Sam Mendes film 1917 at some stage soon. Unfortunately it's not showing anywhere near SE London this coming Friday. It's showing at East Dulwich Picturehouse!! This Friday. I saw it today

I recently saw two Chinese films. So Long, My Son which was stunning, and Long Days Journey Into Night, which wasn't IMO. I also quite fancy Parasite, did you see Shoplifters last year. One of my favourites of 2019 if not the decade.

Just go to the first message up top and 'report this message' and tell admin that's what you want to do, go back to the original?

I think the explanation is in the post above, a new user and not a particularly 'savvy' one. No big deal. Hopefully I'm on your list Swadesh!

Food bank would know or be able to pass things on -
I spent an unpleasant 40 minutes queuing, initially it was moving but the delays when they came were from people saying -But my parcel should be here- or some such variation.

This was all over Twitter, he would have been so tickled! I worked with Mishi years ago, heart of gold.

In the old days, all our aunts/uncles/cousins would descend on one place and camp out on the floor or sofa, and it was always a Boxing day tradition to do a really long walk, somewhere like the City, blissfully empty of course. Coming home to the biggest pot of turkey soup/stew! Yum. I've found, like JandB that as family members pass, things change. I don't see any relatives regularly now, bar my brother. My favourite newest tradition is Christmas Curry down LL with a Bristolian friend who comes Christmas Eve.

Happy to attend if I can

They plant huge tracts of land in beautiful noble pines, Douglas firs, blue spruce, and other favorites. It may take 8 to 12 years to grow a good sized tree. But during that time, the tree is taking in carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. I'm eco conscious and get a real tree, it's recycled into mulch for our parks after.
