Threads on this board and others I am on Makes me wonder how other families divide up duties re childcare Ever since baby no 1 was born and the midwife said mr f was responsible for nappies as I was feeding, we gave stuck to that This did mean I did all Night times with twins!
-
After some chasing i got a response to half of my complaint - the manager says she spoke to the duty manager says he came to the bar area and checked my receipt and it was ' just 2 mins' since i paid for the drinks order. Err... Hello! Is that even remotely likely? Even if I had been cross the very second i placed the order, 2 mins is hardly long enough for me to complain to thd cashier, complain to thd duty manager and have him 'come to the bar' Oh that he had actually done more than just stand by the coffee machine looking bored! What I particularly like about this little incident is how gambado clearly believe that their customers ate stupid enough to put up with anything, bit 'the customer always lies' into the bargain! I mean, usually if somebody goes to the bother of making a complaint, the respondent will say something like 'I am sorry you didn't enjoy your visit' ...

former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
Fuschia replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
James, nice to see parking attendants visiting Heber However, standing on the zig zag with arms crossed, while scaring away the miscreants that day, didn't prevent them all parking there again the next I am not sure it's a very intelligent approach Do you think you could suggest they send their little camera car on a little sweep up and down and issue a few tickets? That is the only thing that will actually reduce the selfish parking on the zigzags, I think -

reserving swimming changing cubicles....
Fuschia replied to ClaireClaire's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I think that's out of order! Have you spoken to the pool about it? I think I would be tempted just to go in anyway, lock the door and start changing my child.. if the cubicle is empty apart from the pile of stuff Or go and hand it in to lost property Say you thought somebody must have forgotten their things... -

You're a very agressive poster. I was talking about school based ringefenced grants making up a large part of their "balances" You posted something about LA grants no longer being ringfenced. I pointed out that was not the case for schools and gave some examples. In fact I said: Fuschia Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Don't be misled by the emphasis on school > balances > > In most cases such funds are ringfenced grants or > donations, parental deposits paid for trips or > mOney set aside for ongoing building works etc You said: "Ever since LAAs came in a few years ago, local authorities no longer ring fenced nearly all of the money given by central government. The idea was to allow the LAs greater flexibility in tackling their own priorities rather than central government's. When Eric Pickles became SoS for DCLG last year he scrapped the LAAs that came with negotiated targets beween central and local governments. There are probably some ring fenced funding but I'm afraid my memory has failed me from recalling such information two years ago." I think what you have said is a bit irrelevant to what I said, actually. But I didn't feel the need to be rude to you. A bit of civility goes a long way, you might like to note. People will take you more seriously. -

Undisputed truth, the ringfenced grants I was referring to are those that make up school balanced - things like 'awards for all', allocations from the jack petchey foundation, govt grants for specialist status, School Sports Coordinators - those sort of things -
