  2. Anyone else up?
  3. Having had high bp in my last pg an ending up with a drawn out induction I do tend to agree it's a problem likely to rear it's head again later along All the more reason for Ruth to talk through her options now with the hospital and identify what steps can be taken to minimise her anxiety if a hospital birth is the outcome My recent birth and time before and after wasn't exactly smooth but apart from one grumpy midwife and an anaesthetist who didn't listen (or check the epidural wAs actually going to work...!) I can't fault my care and I accept I had complications which required intervention
  4. One night I woke up and I was on the bedside cot all folded up 7 m pregnant Twins stretched out comfortably in the super kingsize
  5. Is it worse than arriving home after a 12j journey and little ones who have sleptost of the way are suddenly wide awake?!
  6. I think many of them will see it as an effective tool Whether they would argue in defence of the science is another matter I don't believe in it myself but I certainly tried it, during a looong induction Made me feel less passive
  7. Kes I was going to post just that - an imw is likely to work with anything that her clients find helpful And if you think about the power of the placebo then they ate likely to have witnessed all sorts of success after using it, power of the mind !
  8. It's full at the start of the week atm but not thurs or fri Booking a few months beforehand would no harm... It's less of a well kept secret than it was ! ?10 a day, 10/12
  9. Contact Jill demilew consultant midwife at kings and arrAnge to talk it all through She came to my house She is really really nice
  10. Christine truly is lovely. I almost wish I had a problem so I could see her and be nurtured! She doesn't do straight hypnosis where time disappears and you eKe up having been in a dream. More sympathetic listening and lifting of the burden /soothing the soul with a session of hypnosis tailored for you on mp3 to tSke away and use afterwards When I was admitted for induction with latest baby playing her mp3 talked me down over and over when I was stressed beyond belief at being in hospital
  11. Worth a try with the clock and a sticker chart
  12. I think cutting/Dropping naps cN help, but is it worth it?
  13. Mike marsh did my ecv, seemed quite nice!
  14. Kes, they were my midwives too both for the twins and latest baby. They certainly are very up on the latest research into most issues, which I found very helpful yet able to help me reflect on what wS right for me at each point. Although many of their clients will use acupuncture, hypno birthing, relexology, aromatherapy / essential oils, herbal remedies or homeopathy none of it is pushed on you! HAve a meeting with them, it's free. They made such a huge difference for me ESP handling hospital phobia and breastfeefing difficulties Sally spent more than 3 hours with me just before Xmas when she must hAve had so Many things to do and rene spent hours inc best part of a night with me when I was admitted some time before my edd
  15. Bishberro, that will be fine If you don't get in to the church school you will compete with those who chose the community school, on distance
  16. Borough makes no difference ... Distance disregards borough boundaries The application process is one central system now, pan London 6 choices
  17. I think yOu will come to a calm place before the birth. Be confident that you will settle on the right plan . X
  18. I would think you have a good case for an elective CS if you decide that's what you want. Suggest if you decide that's the route you want to take get referred to consultant leonie penna Sounds to me that you might benefit for the chance to talk this through a bit and release some of the feelings, nurture yourself Can I recommend christine neillands, hypnotherapist And a lovely woman who really helped me when I was panicking about needing to go into hospital to have my twins? She really rescued me emotionally!
  19. Quote of the Day: ?"Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them, all of it has always been big stuff." - Catherine M. Wallace
  20. Have taken all mine to dolphin swim school in mitcham - lovely purpose built pool
  21. Lou the nursery at heber had its own entrance and in many ways feels separate from the school. I think I would risk it ... Unless you have a nursery offer from a school you think is a better bet for reception
  22. This looks good.
