  4. New baby F gets bathed once a week max and clothes changed only when they look so grubby I start to feel embarrassed... luckily he doesn't seem to mind. Saves on washing too!
  5. Try to get toghether eith other mums as much as possible. Small playdates at someones house with lunch are probably the lest stressful form of company. I am quite into this atm, feel free to come round to mine if you like! Lunch usually = pasta, our house is pandemonium (think 3, under 3) so another couple makes little difference..

  7. Oh no no no... ignore the books and the other mums REALLY Enjoy your babymoon, regard this as the 4th trimester and gradually adjust to still being sort of stillpregnant only the baby is on the outside (period of adjustment for both of you!) After the 3m is up, you can begin to think about the rest of your lives together. Everything will change at about 4m when the baby's brain development suddenly changes all sleep patterns anyway. Don't worry. Everything is all a phase, and this first few months, more so than any others. Enjoy it, imprint it on your mind, every vomity whingy disorganised messy moment because it is so, so precious.
  8. Wednesdays are Ok for me too although it's the day i have 3 under 3s so location becomes very important (no easy ezcape routes!) Shall we go for a Wednesday next?
  9. Would someone set up aFB group?

  11. Gwod, I think women who have given birth are reluctant to share it with others who are pregnant for the first time as it sounds so scary! But i think talking about it afterwards is very valuable, however it's gone.
  12. Having had two ecstatic births Inc twins followed by a messy and difficult induction I do understand But even in an 'easy' natural birth I think there is little noble, birth leaves us out of control and it's hard to remember that

I think you will find their support for free schools and academies further serves to fragment the situation. No coincidence that this admissions chaos is so prominent here in Southwark where there are no community secondary schools with admissions policies under the control of the LA
  14. I don;t see how there is a dichtomy between our wellbe8ng and the baby's... us being so intertwined I was induced because my BP was high, and when all else failed, gave up my hope for a water birth and accepted the drip. I never once felt anything than that I was giving up something I wanted, for his benefit... having been given a talking to by the dr that my BP coud get out of control and risk his health (as well as mine)
  15. I came across it and thought it was very beuatiful. My last birth there just came a point where I had to accept a syntocinon drip and it felt like a similar huge step, doing something I didn't want to because it was necessary.
