Forest Hill Road Practice - in Meltdown ?
loobylou replied to George Orwell's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I tried booking an appointment today, for sometime in the future not urgent but necessary, (admittedly with a particular doctor), as I'd had to cancel one last week due to staffing shortages (I also work for the NHS), and was told to ring back in the New Year! Not impressed... -
Did anyone else not get a polling card?
loobylou replied to Crepe Suzette's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I haven't had a polling card either...am just going to turn up as, like Applespider, I had a letter saying that if everything was correct I didn't need to do anything. I'm going to the same polling station as last year (but that was different to previous years). -
I think College road is more of a problem than Gallery road....especially with the buses...

As a regular, but no longer frequent, member of the congregation, I feel incredible sadness about this. Charles helped me and my family through some truly bad times. He was always there for us. I didn't go to church this Christmas because I knew he wouldn't be there, and I'm so sad that he died. I didn't know until today that he had died. I hoped he would be back with us.

I've had great food and good service there. I wouldn't eat there a lot, it is pricey but worth it for a treat/special occasion. I like it. I go for a drink now and again, I'm hoping for all of them that the cinema makes things better in terms of foot fall.

Why don't people queue at bus stops any more? It's free-for-all.....I was in Edinburgh recently and they still queue...

former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
loobylou replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I don't post often but whenever I do, I get some sort of abuse. I don't suppose it was only me who was incredibly fed up with this...having got near to home having spent 30 minutes waiting for a bus (which kept being "due" and then disappearing from countdowns), it was very frustrating. Perhaps the roadworks could have been re-thought in the light of the planned tube strike? -
former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
loobylou replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Dear James Which bright spark at Southwark council decided today was the day to repair the road under the bridge at East Dulwich Station? With the tube strike on everyone is using the road and the buses more and the surrounding roads are completely gridlocked. Buses are backed up to the Salvation Army building.... -
I haven't posted very much but have been watching this. I've eaten there twice now and the food was excellent, I reckon probably better than the Palmerston. Please at least try The Patch before you judge it. I understand that the beer selection is now larger (but I don't drink beer so can't comment on the quality).

At the risk of being shot down, I've always wondered why people leave their locks...why not take them with yoy? I look forward to being enlightened... -
